We bought this as a replacement for our cast iron stand we have had for nearly 20 years. It broke last Christmas while taking our tree out. The paint on this is nice. All green base with a design painted in red and gold. It doesn’t appear to hold as much water so I water our tree more frequently. The price was reasonable as I got it on sale. It is heavy as you would expect cast iron to be and the screws have been holding our tree securely in place for the last several weeks. Would recommend this if you are shopping for a tree stand for a tree 5-7 ft tall. Ours is about 6 1/2 feet tall and the trunk fits nicely with room for a watering funnel to fit in. Larger and you may not be able to fit the funnel in.

Not that Christmas tree stands are ever cheap, but was hesitant to go through with order for that reason. Well worth it! Heavy stand secures even the most wonky tree with an attractive and nostalgic footprint. Water never even made it through the screws when I accidentally filled past them. Can’t wait to bust it out next year!

The stand is great - just what we needed for a 10' (or larger tree). It holds sufficient water, too. Like the green finish and red accents.

While this might be perfect for an artificial tree, it is no good for a fresh one. The stand is plenty sturdy to hold a large tree BUT the base will only hold a very few ounces of water and then it leaks. The distance from the bottom of the base to where the screws are to tighten the tree is minimal,therefore, you cannot add much water.

beautiful product, had one of these years ago and lost in the move. Cast iron will last a lifetime
