Slick AND Functional
Aside from fitting perfectly in my kitchen window (without needing the spacer blocks), it not only looks great but works exceptionally well. I actually left it on overnight because it was so quiet I forgot to turn it off. Even at high speed, it's very quiet compared to other fans I've had and produces a strong airflow. It's very easy to use and switching from intake to exhaust is a great feature in a kitchen without other venting. I can't say how practical it might be in larger rooms since there are no movable fins to direct the airflow left or right, but in my modest Manhattan kitchen, I couldn't ask for anything better.

Good exhaust fan for smoking
I’ve bought all of these types of window fans available on amazon, I just bought the airportal by the same company, replacing the transom window fan, both of these sharper image fans are better than the transom. The air portal seems to have the strongest exhaust, but this fan is much more quiet. They’re both great and I use them for exhaust fans so that I can smoke indoors without having my house smelling like smoke. If you sit right by it and are careful they totally work, and very very well, if you need more strength against wind get the portal, but if a lot of noise is an issue get this fan.

Works as advertised.
Fit my window great. Blows a little lighter than I had hoped, but moves air nicely. Way quieter than our old double window fan. The little foam blocks could due with some improvement.

Has style, but do not buy if looking for an exhaust fan or an easy installation
Buyer beware. Purchasing this is to risk disappointment and half your day off.1. Does not exhaust well.2. The provided "breezeblocks" leave many gaps and require custom work to seal around unit.3. Unit allows air/wind pass through vent while powered off.It has style and blows well-enough on "High", but do not buy if you are looking for an effective exhaust fan or an easy, well-sealed installation.I was looking for a low-profile window unit to exhaust cooking smells from the kitchen area. After hours spent back and forth to hardware stores to customize a solution to seal around it, it took this fan many hours - with another window open to provide sufficient flow - to evacuate the cooking smells. Also, believe reviewers when they say that the provided breezeblocks are ill-fitting and leave significant gaps that must be creatively mitigated. After going through the trouble to customize a seal around the unit, air and wind freely pass through the fan vent even when it is off. (Not great for a leave-in window solution.) So, I attempted to create a movable cover for the vent, which was still ineffectual.

Finally, a sleek & modern window fan
I live in Florida (so basically the surface of the sun). AC is mandatory almost every day, but… we do get a few weeks when night temperatures drop. This is my cue to turn off the AC & let Mother Nature help me save $$If the night temps are below 70 degrees, I will pop this into my front window & let it go all night. It’s sleek & fits the window really nicely. The airflow is robust & it’s quiet. The unit is lightweight so when the temps rise, it’s not a big deal to just pop it out & store it away.Would definitely recommend this.

Worked great for a couple of weeks and then *no air*
The blocks that come with the fan are useless so, my husband cut a piece of plywood and used additional foam to create a tight installation. My complaints are not about the installation but rather the lack of durability. The fan initially had a strong air flow that worked to cool the room rather well. After a couple of weeks, I noticed that there was almost zero air flow. I thought that the setting had been changed but no amount of tinkering with the settings made the air flow increase. My husband uninstalled it and thoroughly dusted/cleaned it like the manual suggested and re-installed it. The air flow was still nil. I unplugged it and we contacted the manufacturer to start a return. Before proceeding with the return instructions, I chanced trying the fan again. It suddenly worked fine and continued to work for one week. Now, nothing will increase the air flow and we have started the return process.I don't want another fan like this because I fear that it will fail just like the first. I'd really prefer a refund but that wasn't offered.

Wonderful
I bought 2 of these fansone draws the air in and one pulls the air through the house and out. I will probably order another one, so I will have mor air coming in. I was able to wait until the temperature reached 90° before I had to turn on the AC. Size of fans are geat. My windows have safety locks that keep the windows from being raised very high. These fans fit perfectly. They can be put ina window that slides to the side.

Poorly designed, also it’s pale purple not white
Could’ve been so awesome, but it is so poorly designed:1) Not air tight. For starters, sounds like it’s “closing” when you turn it off, but the breeze comes right through when off.2) Resets to intake air. When you turn it off, it ALWAYS resets to blow inward and you always have to switch it to blow out EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. if you’re using it as exhaust fan- it can’t just keep the last setting. Hugely annoying!!3) It isn’t white… it has a slight purple hue that is so freaking tacky. I really wish I’d bought the black one if only I’d known.4) The insulation blocks are a joke. Impossible to fit in, leave huge air gaps, insecure—pets can just knock them out, and so ugly and tacky. Why not just use the old fashioned accordion design or else modular interlocking hard plastic inserts? So much more sturdy and practical.I honestly wish I had returned it. I want my money back. I don’t understand why it’s so hard for manufacturers to design anything well any more.
