MotoTec Mud XL 60v 2000w Electric Go Kart Full Suspension Blue

This is amazing. I was worried making a big purchase like this on Amazon. I was also worried that an electric vehicle wouldn’t be fast enough. BUT. I’m pleasantly surprised! The kids used it for hours and the battery didn’t die.. they also took adults for rides and it kept up the speed with ease. It’s also super quiet. The seats adjust for height. My husband put it together in about 2 hours. He said the directions aren’t great, but overall wasn’t a bad experience putting it together. He’s says if you’ve assembled Ikea furniture before, you can do this. It’s partially assembled when delivered on a pallet, so it’s not in a thousand pieces when you get it. It’s a big hit with our kids (ages 6, 8 and 9) and adults get a kick out of it too!

Built solid and works great. Moves quickly with an adult inside.

I purchased the item through MotoTec's website, and it was shipped via Saia shipping. The item arrived in a timely manner, with only a minor issue regarding the truck lift gate usage. However, both MotoTec and Saia were responsive in resolving the problem, and it only caused a one-day delay in delivery. The box arrived in nearly perfect condition, with just a small tear that didn't affect anything inside. The items were well-packaged and undamaged, with the kart securely mounted to a steel frame inside the cardboard box. Once unpacked, assembly was relatively straightforward. I did have to make a trip to the hardware store to purchase a 30mm socket for mounting the rear wheels. The instructions stated that the wheels should be mounted with castle nuts, but mine came with nylon threaded nuts instead. While I would have preferred castle nuts, the nylon ones seem to be secure. I will monitor them closely and may switch to castle nuts if the nylon ones become problematic. Speaking of nylon nuts, all of the nuts used for self-assembly were nylon and tightly secured. While it made bolting them down completely challenging in certain areas, I appreciated the added security they provided. Overall, everything fit together seamlessly, making the assembly process very easy. Regarding the kart itself, after installing the fuse, the kart flipped on. The power meter appears to be functioning properly, and all the different speed modes, as well as forward and reverse, are operational. The brakes work as intended. In short, everything seems to be in perfect working order. The one complaint I have concerns the steering wheel, which has more play than I would prefer. While it may be acceptable for most people, I personally dislike any additional play in the steering/suspension. Therefore, I will be looking for a solution to address this issue. Apart from the steering play, the kart has met or even exceeded my expectations in all other aspects.
