Poor design
The product is good quality but the design is poor, to adjust the vest for a snug fit the velcro flap pull from front to back making it virtually impossible to do, had the flap been the other way round you could put from the back and adjust very easily.I have effectively wasted money on this product as l can wear it fitted comfortably

I tested it
Weight: Lighter than I expected, but heavier than others expected, it's exactly 1.9 kilograms and snugly distributed, so it feels like nothing to me, who's not particularly strong.Fit: "One size fits all" can't be right, as it won't fit my ten-year-old sister, who may need it for dance, but for men it's pretty well adjustable by the Velcro flaps at the back and on the shoulders. It should fit you unless you're a unit of uncommon absolution. You might need help to put it on tightly, though.Bulk/profile: It's slimmer than most stab vests, but I can't wear it underneath my usual suit jacket. With a jacket of the right size and fit? Probably, but don't expect to be stylish. Under good lighting the material is obviously that industrial kind of polyester-viscose mix, so it'll clash with a nice suit. Also, the buttons are decorative, and lots of loose threads says it might need mending with wear. The vest rides up a bit when I'm sitting. For reference, I'm 180cm and slim.Flexibility: Its insert plates at the front and back basically comprise lots of smaller palm-sized plates which are interlocked like scales, making them flexible. Worn, I can't curl into a tight ball but can easily crouch, clamber, fight, run, and get up quickly from the ground. Ground-fighting (BJJ, Catch, etc.) might be hampered, though I've not tested.Protection area: It doesn't protect the sides or shoulders as in some advanced vests, but the flexible plates can afford to be bigger than solid plates. Standing upright, each insert's protective area is fifteen inches high, sixteen inches wide across the bottom, and twelve inches wide across the top.Armour: I used firm backing with a bit of give for the best testing. First, I stabbed hard with a cheap common kitchen knife. The tip snapped clean off and the rest was left bent. Next, I went straight to maximum with the mediaeval Irish miodóg, a fighting knife designed to pierce armour. Mine is a good one made by Tod Cutler, but, after three hard stabs, the vest blunted its tip with no sign of even slight penetration on the insert's plates. Now I must re-sharpen my knife, but I'm pleased with the vest, cheap and Chinese though it may be.If five stars means "as good as or better than reasonable hope based on info and price" and three stars means "I guess I got the budget Chinese thing that I paid for", then it's a comfortable four stars: a cheap but effective stab vest, pretty slim and lightweight, somewhat bulkier and more obvious than the picture may imply, and it may be stealthy under conditions. Good if your budget doesn't exceed the price of three whole inner-city pints but you still want to go for a walk where you might risk some Care in the Community or be culturally enriched.

Hopefully it doesn’t get tested.
I brought this stab resistance vest, because in my line of work, I might get hurt. When it eventually came (it was a day late), it came in it’s own carry bag. That’s handy. And it fits well too. You will need someone to adjust it at the back for you. But no hardship.

Great look and not too bulky
Fits under a jacket or large coat and looks smart. Great for door supervisors that wear suits or smart clothing. Not too bulky . Great price as well

Returned for split
Arrived and initially looked great, then found there was a split in it. So had to return.

Worth it
Fit me perfectly. People couldn’t tell when I wear it under my shirt and it doesn’t leave edge/hinge.
