Great smart plug
I bought these to allow me to control lamps around my living room. These plugs were super easy to set up, and you can use either the Tapo app or your preferred smart home app. Plus, they’re compact enough that you can use two of them on a standard outlet. I also love that they have Matter support so if I switch from Apple Home to another platform, they’ll still work.Functionality-wise, you can use the app to create schedules and other automation, like turning on the plug at sunset. I will note that they get a little hot while in use; just something to be mindful of. Overall, they’ve worked flawlessly and I will definitely be buying more!

Premium quality Matter plug.
Premium Matter plug.It appears to use a triac internally instead of an electromechanical relay like bargain plugs. This means that it will likely run forever — no contact wear. Also less internal heating from heavy loads.Very solidly made, good feature set (including what the default state will be after a power outage) and sets up in Apple Home with no quirks or issues. If you are looking for a Matter plug to add to Apple Home, grab this one!

Good smart plug
Use these on AC units to ensure they are turned off when leaving the house - Easy to link with the app and to set up automation and logic rules for when you come and go. Haven't had any issues with them and may get more

For some reason, these aren't as easy to pair as KASA .
I've got a whole lot of TP-Link Kasa and TP-Link Matter devices. The Matter devices always seem to take a lot of extra effort to get them to pair with my phone than the older Kasa devices. In fact, with these outlets, I had to reset them multiple times before I got them to pair, and even after getting them to work in the Tapo app, they refused to show up in my Google Home app forcing me to delete them and start over again. Eventually, however, they worked. That being said, TP-Link's smart device ecosystem is second-to-none, in my opinion. Even with this struggle, I'm 100% happy with TP-Link's smart home offerings, and these little Wi-Fi power switches are a great way to turn old-tech into new-tech, and save some old things from a landfill.

Great if you have Apple products
Easy pairing. Way more stable than using Alexa. The Apple HomeKit is much more stable. I used various products with Alexa (Feit, etc) and they were nice when they worked, but all of them needed to be reset regularly due to connectivity. No issues with these ones.

Works well no issues in first 4 months
Works well and so far reliable after 4 months of use. Good size for the outlet as well.

Add to TP-Link app FIRST then Apple/Google home.
I found that pairing the WiFi outlet to my Deco or the TP-Link Tapo app first is easiest - THEN I added the paired WiFi outlet to my Apple home by scanning the outlet. Worked perfectly each time!
