Excellent product which provides finishing touch
My 8ft Gearwall sections are all slightly different lengths as I found out to my annoyance recently so rather than mess around trimming 1/4 inch or so off several pieces I bought the trim. It is wide enough that I can hide the width discrepancies without further work. I am also butting panels together and originally I was not going to use trim panels but now I like the neater trimmed edges better.Unlike the other poster I found the composition of the trim to be excellent. Not too flexible and not too rigid and really not that hard to cut. Despite the issues I've had with the Gearwall panels being poorly packed and thus damaged on arrival the trim pieces arrived in pristine condition.Update. I'm now on my third box of trim and I've noticed that the tool you use to cut them makes a big difference. One poster said they are brittle and hard to cut. When I cut my first lot I could not find my snips that I would have used normally so I grabbed the wusthof scissors from the kitchen and cut the trim with no problem. The second lot I cut with some snips and the trim started to break and seemed brittle with the snips taking bites out of the trim. Tried the Wusthof scissors and it cut them cleanly again. So this might explain the difference in reviews. A knife or box cutter works well too but for me the scissors were bestHope this helps

Love the Gladiator product. Very durable. One corner was cracked but that was due to shipping/delivery. I was able to superglue the piece back in and hide that hairline in lower corner.People say it is hard to cut. I had no problem. Use a box cutter on flat parts and a thin hacksaw to start cuts on curve. Just go slow with saw and donโt force it.I tried to trim out an outlet but looked bad. Get a recessed outlet and use small pieces of trim to fill gap in panel. Looks much better.

ok but brittle
The GearWall panels are 3/4" thick. The trim front is 5/8" wide while the back is 1 3/4" wide. The pressure of the panel holds the trim in place.I found the trim awkward to use. It is brittle so tin snips or a hand saw is best to cut it with. The first shipment arrived broken. You can search the web and find aluminum J-channel trim or just simple aluminum angle. This is easy to use and cut. Looks nice. You can screw it in place from the front or side. If you want to get fancy you can paint or powder coat it.

Simple and clean
Trim peice was easy to install and cleaned up the panels nice. One important note is not to install the screws on the gearwall edges before putting this in. At first I didnt realize and had to back out the screws and reinstall after the trim was in place.

Glad install is over!
A clean finishing touch to the Gladiator wall system. As others have noted, it can be a bit brittle when cutting & I tried many tools. For as simple as this product is to install, it's a bit of a pain though.

Product delivered bent and no instructions
2 stars only because the trim was bent when delivered. Luckily I was able to use the unbent portion otherwise would have had to ship it back. There was also no instructions. Not a big deal can just look it up online but really should come with some instructions. Product is ok but overall not pleased.

This is easy to install with velcro tabs and gives a finished trim look to your slat walls. It would be nice if Amazon offered it in a matching light gray color instead of white.
