Bitish Made and not Plastic.
When these first arrived I thought the tripping mechanism required far too much pressure than a mouse would exert. My bad, because the trigger mechanism works not on downward pressure but by lifting the trigger plate instead. I used mild cheddar as bait and placed this under the trigger mechanism and placed the trap, bait end against the garage wall on the floor. Works brilliantly, five nights and four mice so far. Nice to find something British made and not made from plastic. Fab.

Abysmal build quality
Such poor quality construction it fell apart on first setting of trap.I managed to reassemble it and on catching its first mouse it self destructed. So disappointed that the quality of materials in an iconic and once reliable mouse trap now result in it being effectively scrap metal.

It does what it says on the packet
They are still the best mousetrap, especially if you put on some food that will not get washed off in the rain, such as a Raisin there are now a lot less mice coming across my property from either side, in fact 0 to be perfectly true. A total of 18 from parents to infants tried to get past the trap for the food and failed.Just one slight problem I live next door to people who have cats thinking they would do the job they getting idle in the old age. This saw the mouse is dead in the trap decided to pick up the trap with a mouse included dragging around to their side and say to their owners look mum and dad look out I am I did get the trap back sometimes with the dead packaging sometimes not. I'm not bothered either way.A lot better than the plastic ones to kill rate is 100%. I'm sorry if that upsets some people

very happy with these traps but have not had any luck yet catting a mouse. They are cleaver than we are.

Not for my mouse
I live in the countryside and the demolition of a barn next door has left me plagued with mice and rats. I thought I would enhance my 'arsenal' with this brand because it looked sturdy - it is sturdy and very easy to set. It is easy to place mostly because it is difficult to set it offThe mouse is required to be in front of the trap and lift the bait up. If they press down on the bait they ensure the trap cannot go off until they are finished. If you had a fairly solid bait that would cling to the bait prong, I guess the mouse might at sometime try lifting it. If you use peanut butter or the 'recommended bought together' attractant pastes, I doubt the mouse would need to lift itI had the bait disappear several times and got fed up feeding them. I bought a more traditional design platform trap and am back to killing them

An old design - and good reason for it!! Forget the rest. These work too well when baited right!
I’ve used lots of different traps for the mouse plague I get living in country. These old school types are hands down the best. The electrical ones the worst. The hardest part is baiting. Tried and tested 00s of times I use chunks of supermarket own brand snickers or Mars. Easiest to jab on. And that’s the key... spike your bait onto the trap... make sure it’s on tight and even “squished” it tighter. I’ve used yorkie and other types before but have jabbed myself (pretty gross). Also don’t put too big a chunk of bait on or you might find a live trapped mouse. Pretty horrible dispatching them like that. These traps are brutal but they work. I wouldn’t bother with any others to be honest. Just wish the mouse catcher role wasn’t so sexist on my house. Hey ho.

Total rubbish!
Total rubbish both fell to bits within a day. I couldn't even be bothered to send them back.

No rodents with this one
Why selfset? It certainly does not. It does not catch rats, it is too small. As for the item, cheap yes. Quality no. British made, probably in someone’s back yard or garage. The action is faulty. Animals do not pull up to eat, they push down and in this design it locks the action. I tried it for a rat but the rat set it off and walked away. I am now using a cage.

Trotz UK schnell Lieferung
Die Mausefalle ist sehr robust. Sie ist etwas größer als die bei uns üblichen Fallen aus Holz. Funktioniert erwartet gut.
