War of the Ring Expansion: Lords of Middle Earth

Lords of Middle Earth (for War of the Ring 2nd Edition) will give you more of everything you like about War of the Ring. I've found that it's inclusion provides a really cool 'alternative' set of rules for War of the Ring. It certainly changes the pace of the game, if anything it makes it quicker to play, as it includes characters for both sides which are extremely powerful and can easily demolish unsuspecting opponents. In short, you might not want to play with the expansion ALL the time, I still have a soft spot for how the original version plays, but this expansion provides some very interesting variations. You're here because you love War of the Ring and you'll find there's a lot to love here too!

I would recommand every owner of war of the ring to purchase this expansion. It enhances the game so much, creates new options and makes the game more balanced. The bonus figures of Gandalf the White and Aragorn are great and so much better then the tokens to be placed under them. Great!

If you have an even passing fondness for WOTR get this, the balance improvements are worth it alone. It also allows the free people to pressure the shadow in a couple of key ways. I'm less of a fan of warriors, but this is one you need.

Expands on the absolutely brilliant War of The Ring in a simple way, adding extra depth with little extra complexity. Not essential, but a fantastic add-on.

The content magnifies the adventure and offer new strategy possibilities for both sides of the game the free people and the shadow. I recommend the game and this upgrade kit for all people starting 10 years old because of the way how the game insert you as part of Tolkien's story.
