Textile HeritageCollection Cross Stitch Bookmark Kit - Celtic Birds

This is only my third finished piece and the first time I have bought a full kit.The pattern is clear and comes with a generous amount of floss so it's not the end of the world if you mess it up a bit. It doesn't have instructions or any image for where the tassel goes but you can figure it out from the four blank squares at one end.The felt backing was a little narrow so you have be quite precise sewing it on. Would recommend having some basic sewing & cross stitch knowledge before starting but there's nothing flashy or too tricky about it.Overall I had fun making this and especially enjoyed seeing the back stitch bring it to life.

Beautiful bookmark. Very intricate design with lots of colour so may be more suited to someone with a bit of experience or a lot of patience. Worth the work though. Would recommend.

This took me a long time to complete but I am very pleased with the result. The design is very nice and the colours quite vibrant. It might be a bit tough for a first project but if you have patience and good eyesight it’s a winner. There are no half squares to worry about.
