I had been looking for a kitchen scale that matched the color of our other kitchen appliances. This was the only one I found that came in a vintage mint green color that didn't cost over $100. But for what little it cost, it performs perfectly. One of my favorite features is that it uses real replaceable batteries and doesn't need to be charged or plugged in. 5 stars just for that! Definitely ideal for the home kitchen.

good design - very obvious how to change units and set the tare weight of an empty container without having the instructions around all the time. seems pretty rugged too

I don’t actually use the Etekcity Food Kitchen Scale in the kitchen — I use it to weigh my 3D printer filament after taring the weight of an empty spool. It’s accurate, quick to update, and the tare function works perfectly for checking how much filament I have left. The display is clear and easy to read. It may be a food scale by name, but it’s really pulling its weight in my printing setup… one gram at a time.
