Open spaces on the plates make it much easier to handle. I was a bit skeptical of the 3 piece bar, but that is no problem. Very solid, well-made. Somewhat difficult getting the box in the front door, but I’m sure I will enjoy them after my hernia repair.

Bar comes in 3 pieces, but super easy to put together and the length of the end pieces that screw into the center piece gives confidence that it is sturdy. Likewise, once assembled, it feels very sturdy. Easy to use. I love the plates that have grip holes. This makes plate storing and loading much easier. I didn't answer the star-rating on "value for money" because I am relatively new into this and so I don't have a good comparison point.

No no no. Came without one of the 25 lb weights. Everything was separately packaged and of course I unstrapped all the weights and found one of the heaviest ones missing. The thought of packaging 60 pounds of weights back up and getting ups to accept them is laughable. There’s no way to get what I purchased at this point without a full return and that just doesn’t seem feasible. If you’re willing to mess with that, roll the dice and order this possibly incomplete set.

I enjoy this weight set and found many uses for all the pieces of the set.

Perfect startup for an at home gym.

The bar is very heavy duty however I don’t really care for the fact that the bar screws together, the threads are long and it’s solid steel but with benching or squatting a couple hundred pounds I’m not sure how safe that would be in the long run lol. The bar does work great and I’ve had no issues with it, the plates it comes with are good, high quality as well and the spinny things that go on the end of the threads don’t like to actually stay tightened they loosen up very easily unless you tap them a few times with a rubber hammer. I recommend this bar for anyone who wants to be able to work out at home and won’t be doing extreme weights like 200lbs plus, I’d have to say this is more of a starter bar than anything but definitely a good place to start for the price and quality!

The weights are solid good quality

I bought the combo set chrome barbell with 95lbs of weights. got the weights. got a different barbell with the olympic style ends that are fat and the weights do not fit onto them. i removed the rolling fat ends with a nail punch because they are held on with calipers, busted my knucles doing so. the inside of the end of the barbells do not have the threaded and theres no way to secure the ends of the weights onto the barbell as its smooth and no clamps or end caps..
