Works for me!
I am starting on Weight Watchers after overindulging this past season. Turns out air popped corn is zero points so a good snack choice. I chose this air popper because it is attractive and a brand that has made good products for me in the past. It works best when I put in a half cup of kernels. One half cup of kernels and push the button - next thing you know you have a big bowl of fresh popcorn! When it gets near the end of popping I turn off the heat and that seems to prevent any burnt popcorn at the very end of the popping. My only possible complaint is that the actual button is rather small and I wish it was bigger. Overall I am thrilled with the fun of making popcorn and the fact that this is a healthier (and cheaper) way to do it instead of buying microwave bags.

Best at Spitting Out Unpopped Corn
Where do I start? This popcorn maker does NOT do the one job it was designed for. It takes forever to heat up and while it is heating, unpopped kernels fly everywhere (to date it has spit out at least half the bag). When I try to return the unpopped ones to the kernel pit, I burn myself. I leaned the machine backwards to keep them from flying out and burnt myself more. I now have kernels everywhere, burnt thumbs, and a half cup of popcorn in my bowl. Not AT ALL worth the extra investment. I am going back to the cheapy ones that actually work.

It works! Looks good and low noise levels as compared to others.
I’ve had several hot air popcorn makers in my lifetime, and I have seen an experienced the same problem with everyone of them, and that is that they tend to throw unpoped kernels everywhere. The simple remedy to this is that I have always had to tip the machine backwards slightly and hold it there until it starts popping kernels to fill up the hot cooking chamber, so it can no longer just throw, or I should say blow kernels out of the front of the machine. Once it gets going, it can be returned to a Level position and it works pretty good. This is just the common problem with hot air poppers. This seems to be well-made and easy to clean and use. It has a surprisingly low noise level as compared to some of the other ones I had so I am very happy about that…My last one worked for over 10 years with no problems, except for having to be tilted at the start. I hope this one will endure well like my last one.I think there is a solution to this and that would be a very light weight vented plastic gate inside of the plastic cover top of the unit that would allow expanding popcorn to easily push it out of the way and yet keep kernels that were not yet popped in the machine.

Pops most of the kernals
My Mickey Mouse air popper died after about 10 yrs. Unable to find that exact item to replace the old one (no longer available), I set out on replacing it with a different brand. I tried two others before settling on this one. The reason for my 4 star rating is because hot, unpopped kernals shoot out of the popper at times. I then scurry around trying to locate & pick them up (ouch! They are hot!) from the kitchen floor before my fur babies attempt to eat them. I was use to an air popper that popped all the kernals quickly. This one takes a little more time, and pops most of the kernals, but not all. However, I tend to think that the Mickey Mouse popper I had was exceptional, because this popper was the best out of the 3 I tested as a replacement.

Be sure to turn the switch all the way on or you won't ever get popcorn!
At first I turned this on and waited and waited and nothing happened. Then I finally figured out that there is a 'midway' setting that heats the popper but not hot enough to actually pop the popcorn. So be sure to turn the switch not halfway but all the way on.I wish the lid somehow fit into the popcorn popper because it takes up too much room in my little cupboard. Would an engineer please design a lid that fits seamlessly into the popcorn popper after you finish popping it. Perhaps with snaps to 'build' the funnel so it can fold down flat after the popcorn is popped. I have the ideas but not the knowhow of how to make it happen, but whomever can do it please do and I will buy that popcorn maker hands down. This one does leave a fair amount of non-popped kernels. It seems even a bit more the longer I have it. But at least it doesn't burn them or shoot out all over the kitchen like my last one, so I call it 'good enough.'

Decent popcorn maker, but…
Pretty good, but if you don’t fill the measuring top all the way, many of the kernels will be spit out of the machine instead of popping. Sometimes that happens a lot anyway, so maybe it’s all random. Also, pay attention to the settings. There’s one in the middle on the new model which isn’t actually hot, and you can waste a lot of time waiting for it to work. I felt pretty silly when I realized it…Otherwise, works well enough.

Best popcorn popper
I have owned several poppers in the last year as we pop 2 big ziplock bags every week as this is the best own by far. The cooling feature makes all the difference since I don’t have to wait 10 minutes between batches. Just like any popper, some kernels can fly out during the process but I just tip is back a bit when they start to fly up and it helps a lot. Also, just like any other popper, there will be kernels that pop after in the bowl so I just hold a dish towel over the chute and bowl which keeps them from flying out of the bowl. I would ignore any of the negative reviews, which prevented me from purchasing this one sooner. A little common sense goes a lot way and no appliance will do all the work or thinking for you.

Bad. Do not buy.
This is horrible. Do not buy. I love air popping, and bought this based on the company’s reputation. However due to the design, nearly half the kernels fly out of the cylinder unpopped. The photo attached is a glass bowl showing that the majority of kernels came out unpopped. I tried to return it but can’t without the original box. Do not buy.
