Maybe if it has the float strap attached, but I wouldn’t rely on that. With phone inside, it’s pretty heavy. I use it for diving and when I drop it, it sinks. But at 60 feet down, the water pressure is a big factor.

Q: Does the flash function work without distorting the picture while in this case?

There was mild distortion when I used it in the case outside of the water, but underwater with a flash wasn’t too terrible. I would not choose that as my go to method though, I would use something else as a light source like maybe a lume cube

Yes, there are multiple buttons that can be used, the same one you use to activate the camera is the one where you switch the camera.

Q: Can you switch between photo and video modes underwater?

Yes. you can! I have tested it with both snorkeling and diving. If you are thinking this item for snorkeling, you will be happy. But I can not say same thing for scuba diving. I dived only one time with that housing, buttons became useless after 10 minutes. If your video app stays open continuously during diving, you will have fog problem because of iphone heat.
