Removable pieces of acceptable items to munch and feed through mouth helped toddler realize biting her friends is bad
We purchased this product to read to our 2 year old who seemed to have contracted a biting zombie or vampire virus along with the other toddlers in her daycare class. This went on for weeks and we felt terrible each time she bit someone and someone bit her. She loves Yo Gabba Gabba so we bought this book immediately. We used it in conjunction with the "Don't Bite Your Friends" Yo Gabba Gabba video which is catchy. She loved taking the food pieces out of the back and feeding them through the mouth opening as they correlated with the book. She bent a couple of them and now they won't fit back in. The pieces aren't made of flimsy cardboard but they are bendable and definitely not toddler proof but not much is. The book itself is thick and very sturdy with colorful and fun pictures. This book helps differentiate what is acceptable to bite and "munch" and what is not. My daughters biting phase seems to have halted for now and I think the book helped her understand why biting is wrong and what is acceptable to bite. Her teacher even read it to their class to try to help the biting epidemic.

If FRIENDLY bites are the problem, this is THE BOOK.
This was thrown on with a few other 'don't bite' books just to fill out the theme, but it turned out to be THE BEST. Or at least the most effective for my kiddo. My kid had a problem where he would bite his best friends just randomly in the middle of otherwise playing nicely. This book was the only one I found for that specific situation. Neither my toddler nor myself are familiar with this show so I was surprised how attached he got to this book. In it, one thing bites his friend because he's pretending to be a monster and monsters bite. They say that pretending with friends is great fun, but real biting hurts the other person and they won't want to play anymore. So the thing apologizes and everyone's cool. Very short and simple, but covers so much: empathy, responsibility, boundaries, communication and all without being preachy or judgemental. Then at the end they have cardboard food you can pop out so the thing can bite those instead. The book is die-cut in the center, so you can feed the pieces to the cover. If your kid is biting his friends, THIS is the book.

Very cute features
I was reluctant to buy this book because I didn't need to teach my 2 year old son to not bite people. I like the other books because they teach him lessons appropriate for him. But I'm glad I bought it because it is very cute. Muno's mouth is cut out and the last page of the book has pop out food you can feed Muno. My son loves to feed him. Plus the story has a good rhyming flow for him that keeps him interested in listening. One thing to be mindful of: the pop out food might not be good for younger kids because it could be easily bent, easily lost, or chewed on. You have to make sure they fit back in it's place just right or else they can fall out easily.

Good book, small pieces easily lost
This was a great book for my 2 year old niece who loves Yo Gabba Gabba. She and her 4 year old brother were excited to read the book over and over. There are small pieces of food that you can feed thru a hole on the last page which were lost with the first read through of this book. Its too bad there was not a more secure place to store the small pieces. There were only about 4 pieces of food too which it may have held their attention and increased vocabulary if there were more food items for them to feed the Yo Gabba Gabba characters. Overall a great board book but small pieces easily lost.

Good investment- no more biting
My 2 year old loves this book. We read it every night for at least 6 weeks. She recites parts of the story with her toys, and tells them not to bite. She loves feeding the monster at the end. We were asked to leave one daycare for biting when she was 23 months old. We bought this book and “Little Dinos don’t bite.” The biting stopped almost immediately. Four months later, we are still bite free, and she still loves this book.
