VEVOR Water Diaphragm Pump 12V DC 5.5 GPM Flow 70 PSI Rated Pressure

I live in rural Michigan and have about 50 acres, with no water source available in the back portion of my property. I needed an affordable and reliable way to spray for pests, transport water for livestock, and have water available for fire control around a burn pit. I put together a system using the VEVOR 12V 5.5 GPM Water Diaphragm Pump, 330-gallon IBC tote fittings, Cutter Backyard Bug Control Concentrate, a VEVOR Battery Box, and an Anderson 50A connector setup. After using everything together, I can honestly say I'm very satisfied with the results. The VEVOR pump has plenty of flow and pressure for spraying applications and moving water where I need it. The quick-connect garden hose fittings make setup simple, and the pump has been dependable so far. The Anderson connector makes connecting and disconnecting power fast and secure, which is especially helpful when working in the field. The IBC tote fittings worked well with my water storage setup and allowed me to turn a simple tote into a mobile water supply for animals and property maintenance. The VEVOR battery box keeps everything organized and protected while powering the pump in remote areas of the property. I've also used the system to apply Cutter Backyard Bug Control around buildings and outdoor areas, saving me time compared to using smaller sprayers. Having the ability to haul water to the back of the property has been a huge advantage for both livestock and fire prevention. Overall, this combination of products created a practical, cost-effective solution for a large rural property. If you're a landowner, farmer, or homesteader looking for a portable water and spraying system, I would definitely recommend this setup. I'm not disappointed with any of these purchases.

I build a variety of “custom” 12v herbicide sprayers for commercial users; specifically, units that aren’t available through big box stores. For the rigs I build, the key value-factors for a 12v pump involve its output-volume (gpm), amp-draw, reliability and durability. I tried this Vevor 12v pump with skepticism, due to its low cost compared to the much more expensive pumps I’ve traditionally used. I’ve been pleasantly surprised with the pump’s performance relative to the previously mentioned factors. For those who mentioned the pump “running hot”, that is a common occurrence when a pump’s power-feed wire isn’t of a sufficient gauge, OR when the device (ie spray gun, etc) doesn’t allow adequate flow-rates (to avoid rapid cycling of the pump’s on-demand switch). This pump is rated for 5.5gpm at “open flow” (zero back-pressure), which is ideal for higher volume needs - but only if the coupled spray-gun has an adequately sized nozzle. This pump isn’t suitable for applications where *less than* 2.5-3gpa is all the volume that’s required or otherwise allowed by a nozzle that’s too small. In such situations use a lower volume-rated pump. The photo shown a very small spray-rig I set up with this pump, which I use for demo-plot applications. Its spray-range is approximately 43’ (with a properly sized gun-nozzle). Very impressed so far by this pump’s performance.

This pump is well worth the money. The on demand switch works As advertised. It will pump a steady stream of water 30 ft with a regular hose and nozzle. I have constructed a pump/tank assembly to assist in prescribed burns on farmland. Very please to have this pump connected to the IBC tank and 12 volt battery. Works as I expected. Just completed the project so I have no idea how long it will serve. To be continued……… The next day the pump was put to the test. Prescribed burn all morning, 10 acres +-. Pressure was just what I needed. See video. 200 gallons of water pumped and the deep cycle marine battery still had plenty of charge, in use off and on for 5 hours. Flawless operation and demand switch is immediate and effective. No complaints after using as above.

Pump worked as it should for the first 30 days literally at days after the warranty ran out with Amazon. The pump quit working the company’s been giving me the runaround telling me to re-solder wires even though that’s not the problem and now they won’t even contact me to tell me what to do next highly recommend not buying this piece of equipment from these people. It’ll break fast and they won’t support it.

it uses a classic thermal-current fuse, the one that degrades each time it trips, and they place it near the brushes, where the thermal trip should NEVER go, inside teh motor body with bolts of materials that are GUARANTEED to gall in the body, and heads that strip out when you even think of opening to replace the useless thermal trip with a more reliable/replaceable option if used at 60-70psi as you might for an RV potable water supply this may last a long time, but it says it can be turned up to 100psi, and one would expect that means it NEVER fails to keep doing that for AT LEAST 6 months with a few minutes a day, not so, I hope manufacturers stop EVER using those thermal-current fuses inside motors EVER AGAIN, they ALWAYS fail prematurely and often that causes additional damage to other parts otherwise a great pump, does the job, stays cool, quiet, and full featured, just terrible industry-standard protected motor design(better to simply have no protection at all like that)

This pump has pretty good power for the size, we use it for a medium sized water feature.

Got it as a backup pump for the road ... but after testing it I installed it as primary .. It's 3 times less noise than other pumps I've used and offers very light 'buzzing' vibration instead of the usual shaky vibrations. It comes preset to 75PSI and reactivation at 60PSI ... after multiple tries I failed to have a stable water system at 90PSI ... something kept leaking .. or epoxy seam would bust etc.. it's risky for a road van. I turned down the pressure on it to 50PSI and BINGO ! it cuts off at 50PSI and reactivates at 40PSI. No more leaks and I don't have to worry about. It's so powerful that it builds pressure to 50PSI in about 30 seconds. CON: at original 75PSI it had a NICE sharp cutoff .. at 50 PSI it convulses for a couple of seconds before stopping.... bit annoying ... I wrapped it in 1/2" sound proof neoprene so I hardly hear it at all now. It does NOT run long enough to get warm so it can be sound proofed.

Was working great spraying water… but the little see through filter cap.. well the flat top of that clear plastic cap broke off. Like it broke right at the 90° side/top surface. Wondering how to contact the manufacturer and see (IF) they will send a replacement for the clear filter cap. What’s possible ??
