The object of this work is to furnish young players with as easy an introduction as possible to the art of playing on the pianoforte wrote Ferdinand Beyer in the preface to his Elementary Method, which has been a cornerstone of the piano education literature since it first appeared in 1860, and contains much essential technique and theory for the young and beginner musician. This classic publication is a must-have for any aspiring pianist. Perfect quality
My 6-year old is learning piano and needs this book per teacher's instructions, very good for improving technique, as each piece is short but still has a nice melody to it, not difficult for sight-reading but does require effort as there are variations from piece to piece

Excellent Piano Book for Beginners – Clear and Easy to Follow
The Elementary Method for Piano Op. 101 by Bauer is a fantastic book for anyone just starting out on the piano. As a new learner, I found it to be very well-structured, with lessons that gradually build up your skills and confidence. The explanations are clear, and the exercises are both helpful and enjoyable to practice. What I really appreciate is how it introduces musical concepts in a simple and understandable way without feeling overwhelming. It’s the perfect choice for self-learners or for students working with a teacher. The print quality is also good, with large, easy-to-read notes. I highly recommend it to any beginner looking for a reliable and effective method!
