We have a super king bed and quilt so were a little hesitant about ordering this item, since it is only king size. As it transpired, the electric blanket is a perfect match for the quilt in terms of length and about 10 cms shy of the edges on both sides (this didn’t matter to us since those pieces of the quilt just hangs down the side of the bed anyway). The blanket does a great job of taking the chill off the bed and also keeping us warm throughout the night on those occasions where the temperatures really plummet. Many currently available blankets now use electronic controls that reset to “off” when power is disconnected, which renders them useless for Smart plug controls (if you turn off the power at the smart plug, you then have to physically press a button to start the blanket up again, which defeats the purpose of smart controls). This blanket has a manual (as opposed to electronic) switch which “remembers” what state it was last in prior to power being turned off. This means that we have been able to connect the two plugs for the blanket into Alexa enabled plugs, allowing us to do things like saying 15 minutes before we go up to bed “Turn on blankets” to take the chill off, or “Turn on left blanket for 15 minutes” if I wake up during the night to use the facilities, and just want to have my side of the bed warmed up for when I return without making my better half feel over hot. This is an excellent electric blanket that is worth every penny that we spent on it.

It works superbly well on really cold nights. But just one unexpected snag. It is such a good blanket that even when it is not switched on it is such an effective blanket that it can be too hot on nights that are not very cold. We have only a sheet, this blanket, and a thin quilt. We have to throw off the quilt to avoid overheating.

If you need an over blanket with many temperature options, fast heating and quick heat changes, with a soft and lightweight fabric this blanket could be a possible choice. The satin trim is only on the top side, while on the underside the distance from the heating cables is about 30 to 40 cm, I am not sure, but is convenient for anyone who wants to put it under the mattress. On the right and left the distance is very small, about 10 cm. The cable sockets are at the bottom of the blanket. The cables are long enough for the controls to reach easily at the top of the blanket. The controls have a timer for 1, 3 or 9 hours auto shut off. I used it with a cotton duvet cover, without any other blanket, and the temperature was fine from 3 to 6. At 1 and 2 you don't feel much difference, although there is. It warms up mostly in the places where it "feels" like touching something and creates a gentle warmth. When you wrap yourself around the blanket, up and down, the heat is everywhere and you burn pleasantly. And it depends on the height of the person using it as to whether the feet get warm too! It's my first overblanket so I can't compare, but I think it's satisfactory. If someone wants to use it as an underblanket as well it is not recommended by the company.

I was unsure of this purchase but mostly the reviews convinced me. It is good quality although quite expensive. It has taken a few nights to adjust to the extra weight between my top sheet and 10 tog duvet but I have found it better to have the top edge a bit further down the bed rather than directly on top of my shoulders. The heat distribution is even and very comforting just as I hoped. The controls have plenty of length to easily reach electric wall sockets behind my headboard and are easily operated with plenty of options for heat control. So far, I am very pleased with this considered purchase.

This item replaced this winter an almost identical Dreamland electric overblanket after 23 years of winter use, still working but....age was of concern! This new replacement is even better, being a newer model and a fantastically improved control. I don't need to switch it on until I actually go upstairs to bed, and by the time Ive done my "ablutions" and got ready to get into bed, my bed is pleasantly warm enough! I then immediately reset the temperature down to 1 and a 3hr time setting. Snuggle down and soon off to sleep! If I get up to the toilet in the night, and feel chilly, I just reset the control to 1 and 1 or 3 hour time set, and again soon get back to sleep. I don't like underblankets for myself, and I sleep alone, so this overblanket is perfect for me!

There is nothing that i dusliked about this blanket. I was a little reluctant to purchase this because of the price. It isn't the cheapest one out there, but the quality of it means it is worth every penny paid. Heats the whole bed in a few seconds. Has duel controls for the person sharing your bed. Is easy to use & can be washed in your washing machine. Now I'm toasty warm witout using the heating. So there is money saved there. Good product
