Excellent quality
The media could not be loaded. I've made quite a few 3D wooden puzzles and this is my second by ROKR. The quality is far superior to some of the others I've done and well worth the extra cost. Quite a few spare parts but only needed to use one spare. Clear instructions too. Highly recommend

Beautiful, fun and easy to build.
Looks amazing when finished, whole model is beautiful and the instructions were easy to follow and had clear images so you know where each piece goes. The music box feature is a very nice touch and works perfectly after a little tweaking the cog on the back of the main cello part. Overall a great model, maybe not for a first timer, but not too hard if this is your first ever Rokr model.

Intricate, time-consuming fun!
This is, overall, a fantastic kit and something that I'd happily recommend to anybody who enjoys puzzles and models and building things. The end result looks very cool, the materials used are very sustainable, and it's a real change from giant Lego sets or jigsaw puzzles. For the price, I think that you really can't complain. It requires a lot of attention to construct, and I'd say 3 to 6 hours is a reasonable expectation of how long it will take to built. It can be fiddly, polishing down the edges of the wooden pieces as you go. Even if you test each piece as you fit them together, in our case we got to the end and the moving parts still stick sometimes, rather than running smoothly, but I think that's to be expected given the complexity and relatively low price. I don't think it would be fair to say that any errors are caused by the person putting it together - it's very hard to go backwards once you get to a certain point, so if you're sanding down each piece and testing as you put it together, then reach a point when the pieces don't move smoothly, it wouldn't be practical to take it all apart and start again. But for £40, that's a risk I'm happy to take.Realistically, you're paying for the journey, not the end result. It will look fun on your shelf, but you're not going to spend a lifetime playing with the musical elements. With that caveat in mind, I recommend it.

Great present for my grandson
Bought to improve his mechanical skills as he wants to be a civil engineer when he leaves school. The build was tricky for him and a few delicate pieces did break but fixed using wood glue. His face lit up when he had completed the model and it worked.

I'm hooked.
Easy instructions to follow, some fiddly bits, but following the instructions step by step, and making sure each section is correct before moving on, it wasn't that difficult.Starting another one tomorrow.

A lovely gift
Purchased for my husband who loves these sets. This was quite simple and took a lot less time than previous ones but it is very effective. The music it plays is very sweet and the stack of books behind is a nice touch. There was minimal cursing from the husband while making this one so I’m taking that to mean it was quite an easy make.
