Looked at all the parts stores and all the alternators they had listed were not correct for my 1980 Camaro and had the orientation of connections wrong. Found this OEM GM / AC Delco part at such a great price on Amazon with no core charge. Works great. No more idiot light.

Already stopped charging , looked offshore brand new , definitely not a delco rebuild , would not buy again

If you are into authenticity and OEM style, this is the perfect alternator

The unit I got produced 40 VDC with the regulator connected and 118 VDC with the regulator disconnected. The bearings seemed a bit rough but that is now moot. It is supposed to develop around 14.5 VDC. Lucky I caught the issue before it fried anything.
