Truly Indestructible
I purchased this Zogoflex mainly to round-out my Amazon order of dog discs. The rest of my 'flying disc' order was for my 'real' Frisbee retriever (a big male) with a penchant for hard frenzied chewing between retrieves... well, so much for the myth of the retriever 'soft-mouth'. However I do have another retriever (smaller female) with a very soft-mouth who will not even catch the harder Frisbees... it was her that I had in mind when I purchased this Zogoflex as its description lead me to believe it was very soft and rubbery. My other dog has shredded other 'rubber' discs in mere seconds and so my intention was to not let him get a hold of the Zogoflex (foolish concept, don't know what I was thinking really). Well, after I got the order in we went out to the park where I decided to 'save' the Zogoflex while we played with the other harder and purported indestructible disc. Over the course of the next couple of weeks the disc-chewing crazy male was actually able to first deformed (he favors bending it over in a taco shape on the return... not an easy thing for a dog to do with a hard disc) and eventually he sliced into the edge in several places making it, in my estimation, too dangerous for him to catch (as in cutting his lip by the spinning sharp edges). So I started him out a second hard disc (as I had anticipated this and bought several) and decided to finally try this Zogoflex out with the soft-mouthed, gentle retrieving female. As was inevitable, eventually the male got to the Zogoflex before the female and began wailing away on it with frenetic chewing... I was sure it would be destroyed or at least cut before I could rescue it..... Nope, when I got there it was apparent he was unable to do any damage what-so-ever to this rubber disc. So I decided to let him have his way with it and we've been using it regularly for his retrieves and now after two weeks of hours-long sessions of retrieving nearly everyday its still managed to not sustain any kind of damage at all. I'm shocked but I'm now also a believer, this disc is truly the once fabled indestrutible disc of lore. Tonight I decided to do a review here just before I order a couple more of these to have one available for the female retriever as the male just dominates this one, single Zogoflex we have now. So after 5 years of buying almost every type of flying disc toy in search of the indestructible flying disc I believe I've finally found it... a truly Indestructible Flying Disc. This one is it!!! BTW, it flies about as good as any other flying disc... a little on the heavy side but the thicker lip of the Zogoflex catches more air for a decent amount of 'hang-time' if thrown level however it will be faster flying than 'normal' flying discs... and if you throw it high (instead of level) trying to get more hang-time, the air will spill and it will instead drop out of the air much faster. Also the heavier material used in the Zogoflex doesn't allow it to float much in water... it will sink very slowly but nevertheless it does sink below the surface. My big retriever will go diving for it, but most dogs will not, so if it goes into the water it will sink below the waterline unless you go get it.Also, if you are looking for an indestructible 'tennis' ball, get the Ultra-Ball by those people that make the Chuck-Its, its really worth the high asking price because not only is it soft, high-bouncing, and floats but it, like the Zogoflex, is absolutely indestructible with the extra-big bonus of being non-abrasive on your dog's canines (you know? those four fangs that hold the ball in your dog's mouth during the retrieve). Now go have some fun with your dog!!!!

Quality toy for reasonable price.
My dog absolutely loves frisbees and he usually makes short work of them. When he plays he enjoys both fetching and playing tug of war with frisbees, and if I let him he also likes to lay down and chew them to death. I have had this particular Frisbee for a little over a month and I do not let him chew on it. So far it has only been used for fetching and tug of war. My dog has managed to put two holes in it that, as you would expect, are slowly getting worse. It still works fine for now and still holds up to some very intense tug of war (80lbs dobie). All in all I am satisfied with this purchase. It provided my dog with hours of fun. I believe if you only play fetch with this Frisbee it would last for years and years but rough sessions of Tug'o'war and chewing will definitely wear it out. I think my dog would have been able to ruin it in a day if I allowed him to just chew on it at will.Pros:Reasonably pricedPretty durable all things consideredFlies wellDog loves itGet my young energetic dobie some running timeCons:definitely is not indestructible(I don't think indestructible exists, only mentioned this for other people considering this toy)Gets very slippery when wet(Makes tug'o'war very difficult)Conclusion:I am glad that I bought this and so is my dog. If you want an absolutely indestructible Frisbee that is an unrealistic expectation of this toy. However for the price it is a great fetching and tugging toy. I've owned it for a month so far and expect quite bit more play out of it but eventually it will socumb to the holes beginning the middle area of the toy.

Aerodynamics of a manhole cover
I think this is an extremely durable disc, but it's flight characteristics are not good. If you're buying this to throw to your dog, I would suggest getting a different item. If you're planning on just letting the dog chew on it, it'll be fine.

A great product!
My Aussie loves her flying discs! The problem is, once she's done playing, she attempts to eat the entire disc. Unfortunately, she also swallows the pieces. In the two years since I rescued her, she destroyed three of the hard plastic discs within about six months. While she has (thankfully) not had any health problems with that annoying little habit, I didn't want to take any chances. Plus, there's a risk of cutting her mouth with jagged edges of hard plastic. A friend purchased one the of other brands of "indestructible" rubber flying discs for her, but my stubborn dog was still able to tear away a small piece on the edge, then work her way around until it was just a round piece of rubber. I decided to give this product a try, fully expecting to replace it again within a couple of months. Now a year and a half later, I'm finally buying a new one. But only because there is a hole smaller than a dime in the middle of the disc and tiny cracks are forming. And the disc has been used so much, I can't scrub it clean anymore. My dog loves this toy and carries it everywhere. She won't go bed at night if her toy isn't inside the house with her. This toy is well worth the money, especially considering the joy it gives my wonderful dog. It can be a little hard to master throwing, but once you get the hang of it, it even flies better and further than either the cheap plastic ones or the expensive rubber ones. I'm a very satisfied dog mom!

Very sturdy because one of the dogs destroys everything. I am definitely ordering more.
Love this product. One dog destroys everything and this is still ok. I will definitely be buying more. 💯💯💯
