Hepo HP-605 Aquarium Submersible Fish Tank Heater Thermostat 25w to 300w (150w)

I bought two f these heaters for two small fish tanks I am operating as a breeding tank and a maternity tank.The charger is well made and the end seals on the units are well sealed and will not leak when placed in water.The units heated up almost immediately when connected to electricity and I kept a close eye to the temperature - they both performed correctly and were close to the temperature displayed on the reading gauge I use.The temperature can be adjusted by a stiff control knob on the top of the units.The temperature was easy to adjust as the know was quite 'stiff' and not loose.Happy to recommend this heater as a reasonable priced value for money uint.

Dose the job good price

I always like to have a spare aquarium heater to hand in case of a failure.This one is 150w and is more than adequate for my 72l aquarium. I like to use a heater slightly more powerful than theoretically necessary. I believe that improves longevity.Temperature control is fine though the scale on the heater is a bit out - I used a digital thermometer to calibrate it. The thermostat works as desired.So, this heater is not particularly sophisticated, but, it does an adequate job for my purposes and is reasonably priced.

Haven’t had it a year.. 8 months, all of a sudden heard a shatter noise and the heater shattered in half in the tank.. had to completely drain the tank and clean it out.Not happy at all.wouldn’t recommend

Works great in my tank , easy to use and install, can change the temperature easily too great value for money not very portable as it stays in one place.

I noticed a review that caught my attention. So then i noticed that the water could be quite cold at times. The heater seemed to fall to sleep and stop working until I switched it off for a few seconds and then switched it back on, then the heater started to work again and the light came back on. I've decided that it is to much of a risk for my fish. So I have ordered a new heater, different make and supplier.
