Decent camera
I'm already very familiar with Wyze cameras, having several inside my home. Purchased this one to have one outside watching the driveway and road. Wyze cameras aren't the best security cameras available and im familiar with Wyze pros and cons, but the price vs value/functionality makes them work very well for me. This camera works as expected. Super easy to connect. Have only had a couple hiccups in six months with those related to my wifi. Will probably add another one in the future for the back yard.

Great potential but unresolved issues are too much to recommend
The camera is legit, basically, but the service needs work. If you get the service, purchase it through the official website and not through the App Store. If anything goes wrong with your service, Wyze has no access to the subscription when it’s an in app purchase, which has caused me so much frustration. The cloud service will work fine for about a day or two, then all of a sudden my camera stops reporting notifications and it quits recording my alerts. Customer service within the app has no ability to refund, extend, modify, or diagnose their own service whenever it’s purchased through the App Store. I have missed several days of paid service due to these malfunctions, and have found that the only solution is to reset the camera within the app to get it back online. The app is packed with nice features and is fairly simple to navigate, but the inconvenience of the service issues I’ve had are unfortunately steering me away from the Wyze line of products. Functionality is great comparatively, and the cloud subscription is fairly cheap, but the issues I’ve had with customer service and it’s lack of ability to address my issues has been a real turn off. The chat function within the app is also unreliable and frustrating, as its inevitable that my connection drops (which they warn you of this) and then let you know they’ll follow up in an email if it drops. This always leaves the issue unresolved, since a problem cannot be effectively addressed with such a slow transfer of communication. It caused me a lot of wasted time. I use my camera to monitor a VRBO rental property, and so a service that is not reliable and frequently fails to capture every moment that it should is not acceptable. When it does manage to trigger my alert preferences, they are spotty and incomplete, which it will completely miss instances of very obvious motion in the viewing area. I’ll admit that I could comment on more of the things I do like about the camera and the apps functionality, but the issues and inconveniences I’ve experienced are too significant to be worthy of the limited time I have to share my opinions in this review. I probably would recommend seeking other options than this, which is also my plan in the future.
