Premium Hand Coffee Mill
Nicely made from mostly natural wood and metal. It looks good in the kitchen and works very well, but bear in mind that it is a small manual grider and requires a little effort to hold it steady and rotate the handle. I reckon it will take about 3 * 15 ml tablespoons of coffee max.

Why did I bother?
I had ground less than 250g of beans when the handle broke, I first used the mill on Christmas day and it was broken by early April. I returned it to the seller (TECHNIK TRADE UK) for replacement but all I received back was my crudely repaired original. To add insult to injury, they had damaged the body of the mill during their botched repair. It was returned in worse condition than when I sent it, but for the broken knob. I am dismayed by the quality of the mill, despite it being one of the more expensive hand grinders, and I'm disgusted by the terrible service I have received from TECHNIK TRADE UK. Despite my protestations they have refused to correct the faults that they have caused or replace the faulty mill with a new one. I would never buy from them again and I would urge you to think very carefully before doing so. Their customer service stinks and being based in Germany there is little I can do. In the Years that I have been buying online, TECHNIK TRADE UK are by far the worst seller it has ever been my misfortune to have dealt with.

Great coffee grinder
My Zassenhaus coffee grinder is lovely. Easy to use and very efficient. It is very well made and looks attractive as well. What more could you ask!

Great grind quality but very poor ergonomics.
This coffee grinder probably does the very best job possible at its price, but unfortunately I haven't found it to be user-friendly. The design is such that if you try to hold it with one hand and grind with the other, you have a terrible job trying to hold it without either scraping your knuckles or the whole body of the grinder turning with the handle. Coffee beans vary enormously in hardness and with some low roast varieties I have found it a tremendous struggle to turn the grinding handle, even with the grinder held between my legs and additionally braced with one hand. By the time I have ground sufficient for a single cup of filtered coffee I need it! Other roasts are a breeze, but it always seems the best coffee beans have the consistency of granite. The grind fineness adjusting wheel, mounted below the handle, is infinitely variable but regrettably has no locknut or other device to hold it securely where you set it. After setting it where you want it, after a couple of grinds it has moved considerably, towards a coarser grind position. The handle is so low over the body that you can't use a finget to hold the setting wheel in position without bashing your knuckle at every turn.I am fully convinced of the quality of the burr grinders and that this device grinds evenly and consistently. It will also grind very finely, but my what a struggle it can be! Top marks for grind quality - but really poor ergonomics. Owning one is a sure way to make you want a good electric machine.
