Great Water Bottle Cage
I wanted a new cage that is bullet-proof, and it looks like this one will last a very long time. Yes, stainless steel is heavier than aluminum, but I am NOT a racer, so a few grams doesn't matter. I picked this one because it was made in the USA, and I am glad I did.

Low Profile and Works Well
Adjustable to fit most traditional water bottle sizes and holds tight over bumps. Was easy to install on bike stem without any instruction. Only negative (thus 4 stars) is that the stainless is slightly discolored and not bright as in photos. Good value overall and made in the USA by small business is supporting the economy - US strong!

I would file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and also post my experience with this ...
These comments do NOT apply to the retailer. They apply to the product itself: King Cage Stainless Steel Water Bottle CageHere is my experience with King Cage and its owner Ron Andrews. I bought one of their Stainless Steel cages that came with a lifetime warranty several years ago. It was used to hold the reserve water bottle, so it did not get number of uses as the front water bottle cage that had the water bottle go in and out of it many times every ride. That front stainless cage, of similar vintage but a different brand, has held up well. The King Cage, at most, would have the water bottle go in and out once or twice each ride. The King Cage developed two problems. The weld came loose on one of the cross pieces. Also, the stainless tubing broke. I took a photo of the water bottle cage and emailed it to King Cage.I left phone and email messages (including the photo of the broken cage) with King Cage. There was no response. Three days later I sent a second email massage. Again there was no response. Receiving no response after 7 days, I sent another email indicating that if I had not received a reply in 2 more days, I would file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and also post my experience with this company wherever I could on the internet. Then, that same day, I did get an email from King Cage stating I would receive a full refund. That was on April 16, 2014. Not having received a full refund by April 26, I emailed Ron Andrews of King Cage to ask if he had mailed the check yet. There has been no response to this last email of mine nor full refund as of May 1, 2014.You can be the judge whether this is the kind of company you want to own products from.UPDATE: On June 13, 2014, I received the full refund that was promised. This refund occurred after also complaining to the Better Business Bureau of New Mexico and SW Colorado. They closed my complaint after receiving no response from the business after several attempts. The BBB gave this business a grade of "F." I have notified the BBB that I finally received the full refund.

Reliable and without failure
I've had a King cage on my mountain bike for 3.5 years and just under 6000 miles of off-road riding. Never has a bottle ejected from this cage - it has been incredibly reliable on the gnarliest of mountain biking terrain. I'm about to buy 2 more for additional bikes. I think the choice is clear.

A modern classic
If you want a simple reliable classic metal cage, this is it. These cages are handmade in the USA -- and they just plain WORK. They look great on classic road bikes -- and they hold very securely on mountain bikes too. If you want a classic wire/metal cage, look no further, you've found it. And if you're a weight weenie with more cash than brains, King cages are also available in titanium. Another reviewer (yeah, the ONE negative reviewer) complained about making a warranty claim -- but since these things are bombproof and NOBODY I know has ever had a failure, I wouldn't worry about too much about that. The negative Nancy did get his money back, by the way. He just had to complain about it first.
