I bought a refrigerator here on Amazon and decided to have my handyman install this behind it so there would be a nice, clean shutoff valve and the refrigerator could be flush up against the wall without having a coil of hose. This turned out to to be a great solution, though somehow he initially managed to install the valve backwards. Not sure how he did that. But he corrected his error immediately , the refrigerator was installed and all is good.Highly recommended.

This ice maker outlet box uses the Uponor PEX A expansion fitting. Don't confuse this with PEX B crimp fittings that you buy at your local big box stores. It comes with the hose as shown. The only thing that may be confusing is that the generic picture shows the wrong water inlet fitting.

Worked as it should, even had a clear dust cover to keep clean during construction.

Easy to install, no leaks.

Great ice maker outlet box. Deep enough to retain the hose and allow the refrigerator to stay close to the wall.

best way...no saddle valves

I returned it.. It did not ship with the hose. For the price, it should com with the hose... there are a lot cheaper units out there.
