Check out the other two books by the same author. Review: Leaves a Lot to Be Desired - the Trilogy - This review is for the trio of books in this group as my opinion is basically the same for all. Some interesting ideas of sigil construction and one element I especially like is the breakdown of the construction of sigils. If you have viewed Peter Carroll's sigil section in his "Liber Null & Psychonaut" or Frater UD's "Practical Sigil Magic," there seems to be steps missing between the most elementary sigils and the final versions. This book does just that. Volume one has very little text and instruction. Book 2 definitely has much more and Volume 3, the least. However what all three volumes have is ready made sigils, lots and lots of fabricated sigils for a wide variety of uses. Personally I find the value of sigil work in the creation and personalization, which is highly important in disciplines like Chaos Magick and related approaches to sigil work. If that works for you then you might like these volumes. However the actual text is sparse and as I said, this is more like a catalogue of cut-and-pastes. This would have been a far better and more economical collection if it was condensed into one volume and perhaps offer a second volume of the cut-and-pastes for those interested in them. I thought I heard a rumor that Aidan Wachter might be working on a book about sigils. Don't mean to start a rumor here but I did hear him say that in a podcast interview. "Six Ways" is an interesting book. Also Jan Fries' book "Viisual Magick" has a good section on sigils as used in chaos magick and sorcery.
