One is the best hining tools on the market. It leaves a knifes edge almost razor-sharp. I would highly recommend this item.

It's smaller than other sharpener but it's perfect for my shorter knives.

It actually works well for getting an edge back on a dull knife. Be very careful with your sharpening angle, though. This thing takes off more material than one might think. Great for garden shears, etc as well. I've found a few laps or more with a ceramic rod after really finishes off the blade beautifully. It's definitely not the only sharpener you need, but rather just one tool in the box.

I'm very fussy about sharp knives. Dull knives are an aggravation. This is great for regular "touch-ups". No need to use pressure to create an edge.

Love this honing rod - knives are now very sharp. Note that the rod is oval shaped, not round!

First off, it's bigger than I thought, in a good way though. Very easy to control and great for large kitchen knives. The diamond on the rod is more aggressive than a honing rod. If you have a dull knife, it doesn't take long at all for this thing to make it sharp as can be! This took has a ceramic honing spot on the guard, you can see where I tried it out. It is small and I'm liable to still order a ceramic honing rod just because I'm extremely particular about my knives' edges. I was very impressed with how quickly and how sharp it made the knife I tried it with. It feels comfortable in the hand too, lightweight but doesn't feel like junk. Instructions say to put the rubber tip on a table top or something to add stability while sharpening. I love it.
