High-Performance New Hemi Builder's Guide 2003-Present Paperback – March 15, 2007

If you are a complete novice to engine upgrades then this might be an interesting read for you. However this book has very limited information, all of which you can find on the internet for free. It does recommend some common sense upgrades (most anyone would think of these) to make power, but does not include installation instructions of the vast majority of the parts it recommends. There are even some performance upgrades that will cause a check engine light to come on, and they don't give you any solutions on how to fix this problem (although a custom tune is the obvious answer, usually).Overall I give this book a 2 star rating, and I am hard pressed to give it that. There is not one bit of information in this book that I haven't already found on the internet free of charge. Not to mention all the information that I have found on the internet that this book doesn't have.....once again free of charge.For an engine builders guide I am really disappointed in this book, and hope that someone will make a more complete guide.

The "New" HEMI Builder's Guide 2003-present is not on par with Larry Sheppard's series of manuals published by Mopar Performance, however... it does satisfy my need for a basic Intro to the New HEMI. I have found very few manuals on the "new" HEMI, and Mr Kluczyk's book serves as a worthwhile introduction.

If you have any general knowledge of engine building, this book is virtually useless. The only thing that I found it good for was that it has specs such as bore, stroke, rotating assembly metallurgy, and other things which would be standard when DESCRIBING and engine. There isn't anything in this book that I would consider helpful to actually BUILDING a new Hemi engine. Pretty much everything in here could be found on Wikipedia and any Mopar forum on the internet in about 5 minutes. Waste of money for anyone who has ever built an engine and was hoping to get some actual pointers on doing a performance build with their 3rd Gen Hemi. This book is as useless as the Hutzler 571 Banana Slicer is useful.

I was expecting an up to date publication but this one is 7 years old so other than a lot of basic information it didn't satisfy me

good info & good read

This is a great beginner's guide for hemi performance applications. Because of this guide, I am 200hp stronger. I wish there were code recommendations in this book, but that could have a lot to do with applicable warranty issues. Excellent read.

There not much in this book about hemi engine. It's good if your are new with performance mod but if your have some knowledge about cold air intake, headers and exhaust line, cam you don't need this book you are better to look on internet you will find more information about hemi engine.
