Knife 5.7 oz., sheath 1.6 oz.. Making a car camping kit. No thought, just load and go. Paring/steak knife easy, a couple of https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08FC6CYK7?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_26. The full size kitchen knife was harder. I selected this, heavy duty, red handle knife, with sheath, because it was very similar (this blade 1 1/2 in. shorter) to the full size knife she uses most in the kitchen and it matches the red Victorinox folding paring knives. Very nice knife, cheap for what you get. Feels very light and nimble in hand. Tacky oversized handle that stays grippy when wet and slimy. Well thought out multi grip handle, including point down, edge forward, thumb on butt. Has no problem splitting out some kabob skewers or other camp craft. Two major problems. 1) The textured handle knurling wears off a little where the sheath clutches the handle. 2) This knife never left the kitchen, she "tried it out" then washed it and put it in the wooden knife block. I had to buy the black handled version to trade her for this red handle version for the car camping kit. Now I have a spare sheath in the junk drawer.
