3D Printer Accessories Ender 3 V2 Dual Z-Axis Upgrade Kit, Dual Z-Lead Screw Stepper Motor Upgrade Kit for Creality Ender 3 V2, Ender 3 Pro, Ender 3, Voxelab Aquila 3D Printers

Had little to no instructions to install this on my ender 3 v2, currently held down with take because I couldn't mount it to the printer.

Tested with an Ender 3 v2The good:1. This seller is very responsive to questions and feedback. I had issues (see below) and the seller contacted me immediately to try and resolve. I must say I was impressed.2. Really nice packaging. Everything is securely packaged in foam-cutout and parts in individual bags. There is no chance of the Z-rod being bent in shipping.3. Instructions and illustrations are surprisingly good. It is not just "go watch a YouTube video" - they have actual step-by-step illustrations.4. Includes some 0.4 nozzles - I'm not sure of the quality yet.5. Includes a screwdriver that the hex part can also be used to unscrew the nozzle. Also includes wrenches and everything you need to install EXCEPT lube for the Z-rod.6. If you are using on an Ender 3 V2, you will end up with some extra screws to use elsewhere.The bad:1. The stepper motor included in the kit I received was not the correct specs and is mismatched to the Creality 42-34 motor used for the z axis. Basically the impedance of this motor is about 3.2 Ohms VS 6.5 Ohms for the Creality. Since both are driven in parallel this causes a mismatch that results in most of the torque and holding power going to this motor instead of the original. This can cause skipping on one side resulting in uneven Z height. This happens even after adjusting the stepper Vref.There is also a constant torque noise as if the motor is straining. This noise changes tone with each individual step of the motor. It probably isn’t good for the driver IC either. When switched to an official Creality motor the noise goes away.The wish list:1. As mentioned above, the Z rod is unlubricated so you will need to buy some lube to make it run smoothly. The seller told me that including gels/liquids greatly complicates the export process so they do not include lube in the kit. I can't really fault them for this - but beware that you will need lube.Conclusion:The issue with the stepper motor stated above was a problem for me. I contacted the seller and they responded immediately and offered to resolve. I had my own spare Creality 42-34 stepper motor so I just used that. They have assured me that they are going to investigate the motor issue. However if you purchase this kit be sure to check which motor you received (measure the resistance across a winding and it should be about 6 Ohms to match the original Creality motor).

Kits like these are never easy to install. The Z screw is warped at one end, but straightened it out and is ok now.I love the bonus tools and the little nutdriver is awesome not just tightening bolts but it fits nozzles too!Everything is working as advertised.Thank you!

I'm not sure how I'm supposed to mount the power supply to the side of the printer. I've been at it for almost 16 hours now. Still not done. The instructions say to just do it. But they don't even give you the on/off switch that they show in the instructions. If I only use what came with the kit, I'd have no way of turning it on. I'm very confused and frustrated

I read the reviews of how people raved at this upgrade, well they are correct. I’ve got a Crealty Ender3 v2, which only has one Z axis rod, this not only gave me a second rod, but also another stepper motor. Using a very accurate set of Verneir Calipers I got a reading of 0.004mm. difference between the left side gantry and right side. It made my gantry nice and sturdy, and when I upgrade my stock hot end with a direct drive hot end, the extra weight won’t be an issue due to having a second stepper motor. Plus it was very easy to install, the directions are clear and precise. Definitely a great upgrade, so worth the price too.
