Awesome all purpose ointment! I used this on my newborns belly button after the umbilical stump fell off and it aided in healing! I also use this on my face to help with excessive dry skin. A little goes a long way, so this tube will last a long time. It's great for so many next things, so if you're on the fence, just get it! You'll find so many uses for it. Highly recommend!

My daughter got a diaper rash during her second day in the NICU after her birth and ever since it’s been a nonstop battle. I was cleaning her with soap and water for every single diaper change but then that started to make her get irritated and caused the rash to come back. I seriously never let her go more than a couple of minutes in a dirty diaper and I change her diaper at least every two hours for wetness alone. I went to her 2 and a half year visit at the pediatrician and they had samples at the checkout desk. I saw that they had probiotic ointment and lotion, and since I have always suspected that her rashes are the result of some kind of nasty hospital-borne infection that she picked up while there, I was hoping that adding some good bacteria would help. Wow. I have seriously tried EVERYTHING. EVERYTHING- first Desitin, then all the other brands of zinc oxide pastes, then Vaseline, then A&D ointment, then aquaphor. The Aquaphor probably worked the best for the longest, but it would cause clogged pores and breakouts in her diaper area. And even though it definitely helped, any time she had a particularly messy poop, or if she was also hot/sweaty, or if she managed to hide her poop from me for ten minutes, she would have irritation still. It was just better than it would be without aquaphor. But this ointment has been incredible. The first night I used it I saw a huge improvement the next morning. She had been experiencing a breakout from the aquaphor and I saw that was better in the morning AND she didn’t have any of the usual redness from sleeping in a diaper all night. Then the real tests came after her poopy diapers. Almost no redness and no irritation at all. The good bacteria must be out-competing whatever horrible thing she has been battling her entire life now.I IMMEDIATELY came online and ordered a full-size tube and it’s been wonderful ever since.We’ve been dealing with the constant threat of a rash over any tiny mistake or unavoidable circumstances for two and a half years now and I think we may finally be turning a corner. It’s been a week and so far so great. We have never gone a week, especially in this heat and humidity, without her getting at least slightly irritated. This is a huge relief as she’s now in “school” (she’s in a toddler class) and since I won’t be there to be on top of her diaper changes constantly I was very worried she would have issues. I am very very happy so far and the price is well worth it for the the peace of mind and relief for my daughter.

Love this stuff it’s pricey but works within hours

BioGaia Aldermis Baby Probiotic Ointment, 0.8ozOintment packaged like a prescription product. Less than 1 Oz of product (very little) sealed inside a metal tube. Just flip the cap over to puncture the opening. There is an extended shelf life. However, irrelevant since product must be used within 30 days of opening.Using twice daily (as instructed) on irritated areas. Being applied to wrist, elbow, upper arm, and small patch on abdomen. Little goes a lot way, and easy to apply with a cotton swab. Notice redness improving. Unable to say if it’s any more improvement than using aquaphor, or another comparable emollient. Once opened, product has 30 day use by date. I’m using in my dry hands as well, and note improvement.

This cream has a good texture. No smell. However, I haven’t noticed a difference on my baby’s skin.

Also works on mom’s dry skin from washing her hands so much.
