AMAZING HORN FOR THE PRICE GET A NEW CASE THOUGH PLEASE
If you’re on the fence about getting this horn, get it. Its really nice and plays better than my 2000 dollar saxophone that I’ve had for a long time. In fact I’m not ashamed to say this will be my main horn from now on. The accessories it comes with are perfect for a beginner HOWEVER; I’d rather get a box of vandoren reeds than use the ones that come with it. The mute is literally useless. THE CASE IS TERRIBLE GET A NEW ONE PLEASE. One complaint about the horn itself however, is the craftsmanship on the neck tenon. Its extremely uneven however I’m okay with that for this price. Its perfectly fine. The keys feel wonderful the horn is very freeblowing and the pads seal well. Overall an amazing horn for the price. Id recommend this for anyone who’s budget is under 700 dollars. FIVE STAR FOR SURE

Perfect for Beginners
This is a complete set of everything you need to start playing saxophone. You get the saxophone, reeds, carrying case and other accessories including a stand. I have played clarinet for many years and wanted to try saxophone. This is a great starting instrument for beginners. It's not $1000 quality, but it is good enough to practice with. I love the red color and gold trim. Overall this saxophone looks great. The buttons are easy to reach. The mouthpiece and reeds work. The saxophone plays good. Remember, this is a saxophone under $500. So quality is average and great for beginners. I am still learning how to play, so I can't say the squeaky sounds are from the quality. Get this saxophone if you want a great beginner saxophone that is everything you need to start.

Good for the money
I play in bar bands, mostly guitar, play a little sax on some tunes, played sax in Jr High, so have the basics down, and have owned several more expensive saxes. I bought this to replace a 50 year old Yamaha that has seen its better days. With a leak light, I found a slight leak on the D# key, other than that the pads seal well. I also found a loose screw on the G# key, required some adjustment. The mouthpiece is similar to a Yamaha D4, I actually like it better than the Yamaha. I use a different mouthpiece to increase volume and brightness. Not sure how it will hold up over time, only concern is the pads, not sure what they are made of. The action is a little stiffer than my old Yamaha, but not sure if that is due to the age of the older horn. Low notes (say low B) are a bit tough to paly, but that may be me, tough to play on any sax. I think this would be fine as a beginner sax, if you can't justify the cost of a better one. Overall, my opinion is this is a good value and meets my needs. If I start playing more, I may upgrade.

Great Instrument for New Learners
I am writing a review to show my thanks towards this company for providing a quality beginner instrument. My kid was able to play this instrument with no problem. It sounds good, looks good, and is a reasonable price (under $300 bucks). Slade included all the basics for a new learner to start with like gloves, cleaning supplies, and reeds. Thanks again.

A $600 instrument for $250, maybe...
I got this because of a great review by Jay Metcalf from BetterSax (go watch on youtube).Let's be clear, this is exactly what it looks like. It's a $250USD saxophone. Maybe it's closer in value to a $600USD though. If you're looking at this because you want to start playing the sax then go ahead and buy this, you won't regret it.There are lots of negative messages out there: "nothing from amazon is ok", "save at least $1k", "get a second-hand student sax" etc. This instrument plays. It's not a toy. It looks great. It sounds pretty damn good! There are some negatives of course:- The reeds it comes with are pretty much unplayable. Go buy some Vandoren reeds for $5 each and put these ones in the bin.- The large pull-through cloth broke the second time I used it. I replaced it with a $20 one from my local music store.- My low C and Eb keys (right hand pinky keys) were not working. They had popped loose during shipping or something. I had to disassemble them and re-fit the springs after watching some tutorials. If you are happy to spend another $20 or so on better cleaning gear, reeds etc, and you're happy to spend some time tinkering if anything is loose then you'll love this instrument.

Fine overall, but DON'T USE INCLUDED SWABS
It's a fine enough sax for a beginner at this price, but BEWARE the swabs included are too large for the sax! I got both the body swab AND neck swab stuck on their first pull-throughs (shoulda learned my lesson after the body swab got stuck) and while I was eventually able to get the body swab out, the neck swab is so stuck I'm going to have to take it to a tech. Do NOT use pull-throughs swabs included.

Fantastic Budget Sax; Get a Better Mouthpiece
The media could not be loaded. I really love this saxophone. I ordered the cheapest color option, but they sent me the blue one on accident--which was awesome, because that was the color I really wanted. The mouthpiece is *not* good, so I recommend picking up a better mouthpiece. Otherwise, getting a solid alto saxophone for under $300 is rare. This horn is a cheap Chinese knock-off, but unlike so many others, it looks and plays *amazingly* well without needing to be setup by a technician. All of my horns were damaged in a home flood, and I desperately need a budget sax to keep playing gigs. This little horn paid for itself immediately.
