Won’t program door unlocks
Ordered these keys Lowes, Home Depot, and ace hardware cannot cut these keys. Went to a local locksmith to get them cut from my original key here in the Midwest that cost me $50 per key. I have an. Autel mk808 car code, reader, and scanner. It’s a really good programmer that I’ve used hundreds of times on any computer car issues works great. I have programmed other keys with it also for friends and family.I can program the keys I bought from Amazon to start the car but the Ford focus security system will not recognize the lock and unlock and trunk release buttons. I have never had this problem with any other key that I have programmed. Pass on these items and spend the extra money and get a more reliable key That you can program all the functions

I purchased this key so that I could program it to be able to open and lock my doors without putting the key in the door. It was very easy to program. I did it myself now as far as a getting it programmed to start your car, you have to go to the dealer I believe, but it works very well for what I bought it for..

My daughter needed a new key for her 2016 Ford Fiesta. The dealer quoted $350. I order this one and the locksmith programed it for $60. It's been working perfectly for the last 2 months.

There are actually THREE steps to making this key work
You have to program the buttons (easy, watch a YouTube video)You have to have it cut, and almost no one will do it for liability reasons, and they want you to buy theirs.You have to program the VATS antitheft system chip located in the key for the engine to start. This is typically a dealer only function and they won't do it on a key you didn't get from them (see above)If you have a laptop and download FoCCCus software, then apply for the upgrade, and purchase the OBD2 connecter you can do it, I did it. But I'm a computer scientist and some people might find this process frustrating.
