I previously had ordered 2 lbs of red clover blossom by Starwest and ran out; before ordering more, I noticed Frontier had some red clover on amazon as well, and when I read the reviews, I noticed someone had posted a photo showing how Frontier's red clover blossom herb was so much more vivid in color than Starwest, and was therefore superior. I figured I would try it to see if that was so. I have been making herbal infusions for drinking for well over a decade and know what it should taste like. I have also dried my own red clover blossoms (and other herbs) in the past, though there are not enough that grow near me that I can pick anymore, so I have to buy it. I have a dehydrator but have also dried herbs in the sun, or a very low-heat oven.I do not know what the problem is with some bulk herb vendors, but I have come to find which ones I can trust and which seem to overheat or burn their product, which results in the entire batch smelling and tasting a lot like mesquite-flavored [whatever you have: red clover, dandelion, etc]. Such was the case with Frontier's red clover blossom. I had not tried any Frontier bulk herbs before. It smelled and tasted smoked. It was not only unpalatable, but I questioned the efficacy of the herb (for health benefits), if it had been over-dried.I returned the Frontier product and repurchased this, Starwest Botanicals red clover blossom. This is now my third 1-lb bag from Starwest, and every time, it tastes just as it is supposed to taste. Like dried red clovers. Perhaps the Frontier blossoms were darker because they were over-dried. I drink red raspberry leaf, nettles, red clover blossom, dandelion, oat straw, peppermint, lemon verbena, alfalfa, linden, agrimony, strawberry leaf, etc etc -- none should taste "smoked" or like mesquite. Plantain may have a slightly smokey flavor even when gently dried; I only suppose this because when i made some plantain oil last fall, in plain olive oil, the resulting oil has a light smokey smell to it (raw green leaves steeped in oil in a jar for several weeks, strained and refrigerated.)Smoked/mesquite-ish -- that's the best way I can describe what I have encountered with certain bulk herb suppliers. I made the mistake of ordering Frontier peppermint from another source around the same time as the red clover, and it tastes smoked too, which was really surprising considering the strength of the volatile oils in peppermint. I had bought it because I thought it unlikely that peppermint could get botched up. But it tastes like smoked peppermint, and in that case, I cannot return it to the supplement supplier, so I had to cut my loss on that. Just wanted to share my experiences in comparing the two suppliers, both available through amazon.

I tried to make a tea but I gave up and just swallowed three blossoms in hot water. I bought for menopause symptoms.

Brown! Every little bit was disgusting brown. I use red clover in my products for my small business, and I expect at least a portion of the clovers to have its typical purple coloring, especially for this amount and price.Never again .Delivery was delayed as well.

The media could not be loaded.  I am a regular red clover herb drinker. The herb is good quality and potent taste. Great product

The organic red clover blossoms make a wonderful tea to support overall health. The taste is mild and a one pound bag lasts a long time.

A pound of clover is a LOT! Not a problem as the uses for it are vast. But just know that a 1lb bag is a lot!

I ordered my product on a Sunday and received it on Wed. Customer service is top notch. When I opened my bag, I was pleasantly surprised to see all the blossoms. The taste is very good and price is great for what you. I will definitely be ordering more.

I opened the bag and was delighted to smell how fresh these dried blossoms are, now I can make my nourishing herbal infusions.

Buds are brownish and bag is full of grass. Feels like they used a lawnmower to harvest it. I wasnted to use it as a tea to reduce my water retention problems, but I don't feel safe drinking it!
