I bought two of these to take away with us on hol or breaks away. My arthritic hands mean that most hotel cups have handles that take one finger - no use to me at all. Nor am I always convinced they haven't been cleaned with the bathroom cloth. So we use these. My husband insists we travel with a teapot so he can have a proper brew (yes, he's a perfectionist) and he loves a good mug of tea. For all he dislikes plastic cups, he likes these as they have a more solid feel yet are light as a feather in the suitcase. They can go in a dishwasher once we get home and come up like new. I can get 4 fingers (lady's hand) through the handle and am in no danger of dropping it thank goodness. For a plastic cup they are nothing like our last ones and paying the extra for these, has been worth every single penny. I highly recommend them without reservation.

I bought this for my elderly mother, who is having trouble holding heavy mugs. It is incredibly light-weight, even compared to other plastic and melamine mugs we have tried.It has also held up quite well with frequent washes.It does seem a little expensive compared to other plastic mugs, but the reduction in weight could make up for this. It is also not as large as most other mugs, so be aware of this.
