3.5 stars, rounding up to 4
I've seen reviews saying this pills, but I didn't really have this problem; my routine is largely water-based products, so if you're using silicone or oil-based products, maybe they won't go together well. It works pretty well to control oil, I only use this on my nose as I've combination-oily skin with a very greasy T-zone and dryness around the lips, and I've noticed less oil building up throughout the day when I'm using the drops whether I have makeup on or not. I wouldn't say this has a particularly blurring or powdery finish, though, it won't replace a finishing powder or pore-filling primer. I think the product name is a bit of a misnomer. I would say I have average-sized pores, not tiny nor huge, and I didn't notice a visual difference in how visible the pores were after applying the drops. It's also not very mattifying. It has a skinlike finish, so if you have oily dehydrated skin and want to control oil but don't mind some glow, you might like this, but if you have extremely oily skin, textured skin, or want the finish of your skin to look very mattified, this probably won't do anything for you.

From hero to zero
EDIT 3: From hero to zero. So, after many repurchases and this being my hero product, I came to find that it dried my skin out horribly and it just stopped working with multiple foundations. I'd get great big crusty patches of dry skin/foundation on my chin and mouth, just not the best look. I repurchased what I assume is the same product in a slightly revamped packaging but the crusty chin thing bothered me and I wanted to try other products, so I stopped using it for a few months. Sadly I am no longer as in love with this product as I was. The dry crusty patches are a big no, but I tried using it on my nose/cheeks this week or so - areas that can get oily but are less prone to crustiness, and have historically been prone to redness that I've now got mostly under control. Whilst I can't know for certain, I have found that in the time I've been using this my previously-under-control skin has started getting redder again specifically in the places I've used this foundation. I really suspect a link between redness and this product, am going to discontinue use for a while and see if my redness goes back to my previously-improved baseline.I don't know if the formula changed or simply my skin and demands from a primer changed, but sadly this has been a love story in reverse after it worked so well for me at the beginning. I will probably report back on whether it's the probable cause of making my skin more red but will, regardless of that, will still be passing my current tube of this primer on to a new home and no longer purchasing it - making my chin make-up full of big flakes is a deal-breaker either way. This has been a primer saga and it's gone from being a workhorse product to one I will probably never buy again... read below for previous reviews if you want to know more about the journey, I guess.EDIT2: Back again, to say this product is earning its 5 stars. I get mixed results based on what I combine it with, but the overwhelming result is it does make my makeup last longer in a way no other product does. I have almost made 8 hrs on a running-around workday without my oily face eating my makeup too much if I layer this with certain products, but if I use the same products and skip this I get SHINY and 70% of my foundation is gone on my chin. This product is still expensive and still doesn't keep my face perfect, it's still YMMV, but if you have stubborn oily skin that nothing else works for like me, you need to try it.EDIT: As my profile will testify, I'm a very picky and harsh reviewer. But credit where it's due, I've just repurchased a back up of this for when I run out. Bumped up to 5 stars because I don't think I've EVER found a primer product I've liked enough to repurchase before.Original review:I have super oily skin which does not play well with foundation, I've also always been on the hunt for a primer etc. that will control my oil and make my make-up stay. I've not found my holy grail yet, but I have tried a LOT and always been disappointed - until now. This isn't perfect, but it's closer than I've yet found, and I am pleasantly surprised.By itself it does an ok job of stopping my oily face washing away my foundation, it's not going to last a whole work day but I can pop on a bit of a top up in problem areas and I can leave at the day not looking like my make-up has completely slipped off. I will look shiny but not disgusting. And the shine does start breaking through significantly later than normal (nothing, not any so-called 20% miracle niacinamide blotting serum whatsitsface has done this).WITH the right combination of long lasting foundation AND setting my face with powder and spray (not sure the spray does much, the powder does though), I will get through to mid-afternoon without any significant make-up shifting even if I FEEL shiny and oily I won't look it and my foundation will look totally acceptable (if not as fresh as first applied). This is a first for me. I might reapply a bit mid-afternoon but today I didn't and didn't walk out feeling and looking an oily mess. So this works well, but it needs to be combined with other make-up prolonging products to really shine. That's not much of a complaint though, as I've combined other primers with the same products and been a mess by lunchtime. The other thing I have to commend is the fact that it's fairly gentle on the skin. I have very sensitive rosacea-prone skin which I've worked on a lot to try to calm down, and it does like to react to new products with zits too. I was scared of the BHA in this, worried it would make my rosacea flare and my face angry and red again. I've used it most days for a few weeks and am happy to report - no sore skin, no extra redness or flares, no new zits. I won't be slathering BHAs on my face but my skin tolerates whatever's in this.I've written an essay already, but I do have to touch on some cons for this product. 1) It's very expensive. It's a small size and over £20, that's scary if you don't know if it'll work for your skin. To be fair, you don't have to use much for it to be effective, but it still hurts the wallet. 2) It doesn't play well with all other products, particularly skincare. It's very finnicky about what you can layer it over, including SPF unfortunately, and WILL pill. I've found that if it's pilling it's more often your skincare rather than your foundation. Other products pill for me too, but it is a shame. 3) I really don't think it does anything for pores. Pore-shrinking is a bit of a myth first of all, but also I've used products with better pore-blurring effects. Since these were temperamental silicon-heavy things and this is not, and they didn't control my oil and this at least does a bit, I'm not complaining that much. All in all I'm pleasantly surprised. It's not perfect but it's still the only thing that has got me through to the end of the day (or almost) without wanting to cry about how oily and cakey my makeup is. I've got super oily skin and I've tried a lot, I mean A LOT, of oil control products, and I was invariably having to take my whole foundation off and reapply by the afternoon, with this I don't NEED to. Which, for me, completely justifies this product.

Opened
t arrived open and unsealed, looks to have been tampered with, and is unable to be returned.

Mid
Doesn’t really do much. I didn’t notice any difference in skin texture or oil production (I have acne oily skin with hyperpigmentation). Not worth the price. More for aesthetics and maybe people who have good skin looking for a not overwhelming exfoliation product

Value for money
It blurres my pores instantly. But make skin look mat .

Label disintegrated on touching
The actual product itself seems ok but the label of the bottle has disintegrated on touching it which calls into question the quality of this product
