One of the best internet radios out there!
I have owned and enjoyed Ocean Digital's WR-23D portable for a few years and wanted something bookshelf-sized that I could enjoy in my living-room. I read the online reviews and picked this. For only $125 I figured I couldn’t really go wrong. The initial unboxing and set up is very easy. It was easy to find my 2G Wi-Fi network, enter the password and it connected like a charm. Even though my router is on another floor, it still shows 3 bars on the radio, which is strong enough. One of the first things I did was go into Configuration and change the Buffer Time from 2 seconds to 5 seconds to avoid drop outs. I don’t know why it doesn’t default to that setting in the first place. There are no drawbacks to having a longer buffer time. The radio boots up very quickly to play my favourite station within just a few seconds. I like that there are 3 dedicated favourite station buttons and a dedicated sleep timer button in front. There are also two knobs that you can use to navigate the menus, but I find that it’s actually easier using the remote control. One of the best things about the radio is that you can manually add stations using your computer's browser. The IP address is right there on the display. Open a browser, input the number, hit enter and you have direct access into the radio’s favourites. This is a great feature to have because if Skytunes ever goes down, it won't brick your radio. The favourites webpage even allows you to format/alias your favourite stations' names and sort them as you wish. I've read that it can take up to 150 favourites, but I stopped at around 77. If you already have another Ocean Digital or CC Crane radio that use Skytunes, you can export a copy your favourites from the other radio and upload it into this one. One of my favourite pop stations is RFM 105,5FM in Cayenne French Guiana, which plays 70s-90s music. It’s not found in Skytunes, but it was easy to create a favourite station using just the station’s streaming URL. (If you need to figure out what a radio station’s streaming URL is, streamurl-dot-link or FMSTREAM-dot-org are a great help.) The sound quality is good. It fills my living room. The default EQ is Flat which sounds, well flat. I had to do a lot of tweaking with the EQ to find something that worked for me, but eventually I got it. You should experiment to figure out what works for you. Keep in mind that internet radio stations' audio quality will vary greatly depending on the bitrate, their studio audio equipment and other factors. That's just the nature of the beast. The Bluetooth was very easy to set up. Put the radio into BT mode and it will show up on your phone, pair it and then going forward, every time you go into BT mode, your phone is automatically linked. Music from my phone sounds great, without any perceptible latency. The FM reception is good. I live in Brooklyn, NY and it scanned 30 stations. It has RDS which displays station and program information. Since my phone has all my music, I’ll never use the TF card so I'm not in a position to review that. Lastly, it’s a beautiful radio and looks like it belongs in my bookcase. Highly recommended as its a quality product that is easy to use, has a lot of functionality, flexible input and it looks good!

Great I-net radio
I love this I-net radio from Ocean Digital. The sound is good, the display is large, bright and easy to read. If Ocean does not have your favorite radio station in the database already (like I found) all you need to do is submit the name and URL and they added it within 24 hours. GREAT! I had a Grace Digital and had to throw it away because the SERVICE they used to access radio station URL's went out of business. Stay away from those guys. This has a good sized footprint and the build quality is excellent for the price. I am a techno guy and 5 star reviews are rare. I would recommend this product to friends.

Great sound, excellent navigation of a huge worldwide channel selection
I'm really surprised at how good this product really is. I was thinking to replace my boombox in my shop with something that had better FM radio reception. The truth is that this thing has big and clear sound, and an amazing selection (I'm guessing hundreds, if not a thousand or more) of internet channels with easy navigation and ability to favorite the ones you find. There are only three favorite channel buttons on the front panel, but those are meant for the three of your top favorites, as more can be selected from an easily navigable menu. The front panel controls feel solid and this makes navigation of channels easy. Setup was also easy-- I was on my wi-fi network in 3-4 minutes, and once connected, I had orders of magnitude more channels than I had before with broadcast radio. This thing has an attractive look and feel, and doesn't seem cheap at all. It's fantastic for my shop, and would also really make a great little unit for the kitchen/dining room, because of the selection of channels. I'm about to order another for that purpose, and it's going to replace my smart speaker, which is far too chatty and difficult to keep on a specific genre for an extended period of time.

Great sound, versatile, easy to program stereo speaker equipped internet radio at a decent price.
I bought this radio to replace a Bose Soundtouch unit that will be obsolete (for me) in a few weeks because Bose is disabling the wi-fi and internet radio functions that I use the most and is dropping all support. The new O.D. radio sounds just as good to me and is more versatile for a fraction of what the Bo$e units cost me a few years back. I was impressed with the sound and versatility of the new Ocean Digital WR-800F so I just ordered a 2nd unit for another room to replace my other soon to be bricked Bose unit in another room. I own 2 small older O.D. 1 speaker radios so I am familiar with O.D. quality and basic functions. The planned obsolecence of the Bose units seemed a good reason to replace them and update my older Ocean Digital units with new stereo speaker models.

Connectivity Problems
This radio worked relatively well for a couple of weeks and then started having connectivity issues with lots of buffering issues on most of my favorites (5-6). Other less listened to stations had no problems. Software was current. No Internet changes and strong signals, especially in area where located. Did several resets, had to load up all favorites again, even tried the buffering option from 2 second default to 5 seconds. No improvement. Thinking maybe my favorites were off the air, I downloaded a free internet radio app on my smartphone and all my favorites came in quickly and strongly on my phone. Went back and tried this internet radio again and same thing… it wasn’t picking up my favorites. I even selected a favorite and let it try to pick it up/connect for EIGHT HOURS STRAIGHT!! It still never connected. It’s going back and I’ll try a premium Grace unit this next time. If I have problems with a Grace, I’ll just give up on internet radio for good.
