Brilliant bit of kit
Easily the best strimmer I have used or owned, that include petro Stigl and mains powered offerings from Bosch, Black and Decker and Flymo.I have a large garden and can honestly say that the batteries have more than coped with it in fact a 4AH battery has done the whole garden 4 times so far and still has plenty of charge left in it. It isn’t a light weight piece of kit but it is easily managed.

Very good, my favorite garden tool.
Used with a 5ah battery this trimmer will cut both my small lawns on a single charge, it is powerful and quiet. It is well balanced and combines the manouverability of a petrol trimmer with the low noise of a corded trimmer. Highly reccomended.

good machine
brilliant machine.very light and very powerful for what it is.the only letdown is that it has no carry harness and after a while of trimming it does become weighty on the arms.takes a little getting used to the length too.

seems a good product warranty period details flakey
I brought this just under 12 months ago, its has hardly been used and developed a fault. The seller advised me to have it collected for repair which was painless.I called the repair company who confirmed it was a faulty motor, they advised me that dewalt have no replacement motors in the UK and could not confirm when they will arrive. It is worth considering the warranty period is one year and not 3 years as some sellers are advertising, I found this out after registering on Dewalt's website. No idea when I will get the strimmer back and as the seller has reminded me it is just about to fall out of warranty and gave me Dewalt's number. I spoke with Dewalt who were very helpful and advised me replacement motors we due in 6th May and they will extend the warrantyThis is a good product, I hope my motor failure is isolated, bear in mind very short warranty period for something that gets seasonal use.

For normal garden use this is perfect. A 5ah battery will do the whole large garden easily (probably twice or more). It is light, quiet and easy to use. I have used it on some large weeded areas that are realistically more suited to a petrol brush cutter and it took a few attempts to get through them but it managed! If you have other XR kit highly recommended.

Quick and easy to use
Much better than I expected to be honest! I cleared brambles, ivy and assorted weeds. from a 10 x 10m area that hadn't been touched for years. The only drawback is the 10 to 20 min battery time - but its an excuse for tea breaks. The biggest plus point is not having to mess about with cables, extension leads, or fill with petrol etc. Just stick a battery in and it's ready to go.

Absolutely rubbish save your money and buy a petrol one!!!
This strimmer came late when it finally came I had it for about 15 hours off work time and the it decided to give up and stop working been trying to get a refund back for the past 2 weeks but I’m not having any enjoy doing so even though they have accepted my refund request yet I can’t email anyone about picking it up or me dropping it off so that’s £180 or however much it cost me down the drain!!! Fuming is an understatement!!!!
