TONOR Dynamic Podcast Microphone, XLR/USB Mic for Recording, Streaming

This microphone is just what I needed. It’s built well with a solid heft to it. The tone and range of the microphone is top notch. The stand that comes with it is quite sturdy and well made. Setting it up can be a bit tricky since it only has a clamp-on mount requiring a shelf or other surface to attach it to. It would have been better if they provided a desk-mount screw-on fixture as well. The spring-assisted arms are well made with adjustable thumb-screws for tightening or loosening. However, the base hinge-point does not have an adjusting thumb-screw and on mine is very tight and a bit difficult to move without it feeling like it’s going to cause the clamp base to come loose. I love how its appearance, it adds a professional flair to my desktop setup. I had to buy a separate cable with which to plug it into my Creative AE5 Plus sound card, but most people would probably use USB or Bluetooth anyway. It’s a great value for the money, and I recommend it if you’re looking for a well-made mid-price point microphone.

I have an office with terrible echoes and a very loud airc onditioning unit. It made it very hard for colleagues to hear me on Zoom and Team meetings. The TD 520 fixed that for me. I've had several co-workers ask what microphone I use because the quality sounds so good to them. I've also used it to record training videos and the final product has been great.

The TONOR Dynamic Podcast Microphone Kit is a stellar all-in-one bundle that delivers professional broadcast quality at a great price. It’s a perfect "plug-and-play" solution for anyone looking to level up their audio game without the headache of buying separate components. Key Highlights: The Microphone: This dynamic mic offers excellent off-axis noise rejection, keeping your vocals crisp and clear while ignoring background hum. It has a rich, warm tone that sounds great on both spoken word and vocals. The Mixer: The included audio interface/mixer is a game-changer. It’s intuitive to use, providing smooth gain control and essential monitoring features. It handles the signal perfectly, ensuring a low-noise floor and a clean recording every time. Build Quality: The boom arm is sturdy and stays in place, while the shock mount and pop filter do a great job of eliminating unwanted vibrations and plosives. Value: Getting a high-quality mic, a functional mixer, and a full mounting kit in one box is an incredible deal. Verdict: If you need a reliable, professional-sounding setup that works right out of the box, this kit is hard to beat. Highly recommended!

I got one and I’m very happy with it, I sounds better when you’re close and it’s pointing at you. I use the usb c version, maybe it Can do better since I don’t know too much about these stuff. But I reccomend

Super easy to put together, great sound & quality. Definitely a great price. Very good for beginner podcaster!

This is the best microphone for the price. If you need a solid studio mic, this is the one for you. Be prepared to work out some issues; other than that, it's a solid mic.

After owning this microphone for a year, it truly is such an amazing mic for the cost. I've only used it through a usb connection so far, but have plans to try the xlr soon once I get an adapter. It needs only minimal setup, and if you're a beginner streamer or youtuber, or even just planning to use it for gaming it really is a great product. I've had no complaints while recording voice overs and streaming with this mic. I'll even get comments about the mic sounding really clear and crisp. It doesn't pick up the sound of my pc fans in the background which can be loud at times, and doesn't usually pick up much background noise. If you're looking to pay less than a 100$ for a mic, this is a great option. If you're somebody who doesn't already have a better or more expensive mic than this, then I think there's no reason not to give this one a shot.

....it arrived without any instructions on how to set it up....it had one small page of arcane pictograms that i couldn't understand with strange symbols and spaghetti connectors.....totally incomprehensible if you speak english....the amazon page has no instructions in plain english....its horrible, from the viewpoint of installing it

I've tested several dynamic microphones priced under $100 CAD (listed down below), and this one stood out as the best. My specific requirement was a microphone offering both XLR and USB connections, and this model fit the bill perfectly. I primarily use it for podcasting, streaming, vocals, and the sound rejection, especially in USB mode, is impressive. Admittedly, it does have a somewhat dark sound profile, but considering most users apply EQ, compression, noise gates, or other post processing to their recordings. Some individuals prefer a frequency range between 80Hz and 14kHz, which this microphone may not align with entirely (this is 50Hz-14KHz). However, what it does deliver is a warm, dark, yet clear and clean sound. This suits my needs well, as I enhanced bass in my voice to achieve a richer, more broadcast-like sound. Additionally, the headphone jack offers zero latency, a significant advantage. However, during my testing, I noticed that you can only monitor your voice, not other applications (but that's just me and my many audio interfaces getting messed up). Additionally, the headphone volume adjustment appears to be not work. In terms of build, it's remarkably solid compared to plastic microphones within the same price range. It seems capable of withstanding accidental drops, although don't attempt that and handle it with care. Switching to XLR mode retains the same tonal quality but compromises background sound rejection compared to USB mode, but nothing too bad. Nevertheless, this is a negligible concern since most users apply a noise gate. I appreciate that it comes with both a USB-C and XLR cord. The included pop filter suffices, but I opted for a third-party one (such as the SM7B pop filter) due to the enhanced plosive reduction achieved with the added 1.5-inch gap, but its not needed. A significant advantage is the plug-and-play functionality, making it extremely convenient for on-the-go podcast recording, especially in academic settings like universities, without the need for additional equipment like a cloud lifter, audio interface, or phantom power. All in all, this dynamic microphone offers a fantastic solution for podcasting, streaming, and voice recording needs, providing both USB and XLR connections. belle qualité, robuste, fait le job pour le prix

It’s a good mic but it has a problem that it just disconnects its self I will return it and give it a second chance
