It’s ridiculously expensive, it’s a joke!!!

better than Clinique, better than Lancome
I have very dry eyes, ever since I was in my twenties, and have tried a LOT of eye creams. The ones that worked the best for me are the Clinique repairware laser focus, and a few of the Lancôme ones I honestly can't afford, but got to try gift-with-purchase samples. Last year I got a horrible dry pouch of skin on my upper eyelid, right in the corner of my eye. I desperately tried everything, even using olive oil on it at bedtime. I thought I was going to have a droopy eyelid for the rest of my life. I tried this intense hydration cream and it is the best eye cream ever. It got rid of that severe dry spot and keeps my eyes feeling great, even in winter.

Hydrating and non-irritating
Update:This cream wound up giving me milia, which is an enormous bummer because I *really* liked it. Thus, I’ve downgraded my rating, because nobody wants milia. Boo.——Original 5-star review:I have been searching for a plain, hydrating, non-retinol eye cream forever. I heard mixed reviews about the Burt's Bees sensitive skin line from fellow sensitive folks, and when I saw this new intense hydration line, I was skeptical. But this stuff is perfect. My eyes don't burn, my skin doesn't itch, and it doesn't make my skin tighten up (which, for me, is the exact opposite of feeling hydrated). I feel like my skin is hydrated but not greasy. It's perfect. This is scented, so if you're sensitive to fragrance, this might not be the product for you. But whatever the fragrance is doesn't burn my eyes (I'd say I'm medium sensitive to fragrance), and the smell itself is lightly floral, so not overpowering or noxious.Love this stuff, already thinking of buying another tube so that I won't ever be out of this stuff.

I'm in my *cough* forties now - eye cremes are more important to me now
And Burt's Bees range of products in this area give me more confidence in repair and preservation than any of the hundred-dollar eye caviars or cremes infused with gold that leave a slick feeling on your face and end up on your pillow (or eye-mask) the next morning. Burt's Bees, as I have raved before, are natural products that your body instinctively feels okay with and drinks it in, instead of leaving that silicone-ish slick that perhaps you spent a bit more for so you feel a little better about. Why not use a reasonably-priced product that will produce better results faster than the $100/oz pots? And make your body feel good in the process. Okay, so I'm a little older now; I'm starting to notice maybe one or two things on my face that weren't there a year ago...I was using those $100/oz eye caviars and gold-flecked gels then and they didn't do anything to stop the advance of time. Then I went back to my Burt's Bees, and my skin just went "oooh" and thanked me. Soaked it up. No residue, it is made to join with your body naturally. And it works - for me - better than the more expensive brands. My skin is brighter, tighter and looser in all the right places, and feels GOOD and CLEAN. best of all - no animal-testing, and as natural as it could possibly be - which is why your body responds so well. Try it - over those expensive pots and tubes. It'll win a contest, eyes wide.

Works Miracles
Do the drought in California, our water is now very "hard" which means it contains a high mineral content. The oh-so sensitive skin around my eyes rebelled at having to be cleansed with such water, resulting in extreme dryness. I would wake up, and my eyelids would be cracked, swollen, and often painful. I tried everything. I went to the doctor and he prescribed me a minor steroid for dry eyes; didn't help at all. I tried switching face wash brands (several times); nothing. Even my trusty Vaseline only provided temporary relief; as long as my eyelids were caked it in they felt fine. This went on for TEN MONTHS till I found this stuff. And what a blessing it has been. I've been using it for about two weeks now and, from the moment I first applied it, I felt instant relief. My eyelids are no longer aching from dryness. The fine lines I had developed due to extended dryness are gone. Burt's Bees Intensive Eye Cream is my miracle elixir.

What can't Burt and his Bees do?
This used to be my favorite eye cream. Don't get me wrong, it's awesome and still ranks pretty high with me! I've recently switched it up and started using Cerave and love that too. As for the Burt's, it's great for hydration. I have crazy oily skin except for my poor Sahara-like under eyes! This cream does a great job of rehydrating those sad areas. The issue I have with it is that I don't know how much it really helps with the dark circle/puffiness issue. Personally, other creams do a better job with that for me. But overall, the hydration is key to me so I still sing the praises of this cream.
