Reviewing after around a week of use. Pros: Day - Night sensor works well Motion Sensor works well Full points for dummy camera. Mounting is simple. No wire connections. Cons: Quality of plastic for the mount is poor. If someone can reach it, he can take it off by breaking the mount. It should have been better. Its does not illuminate like a 15W bulb, probably like a 5W bulb, which is not that bad. But they have claimed 15W. Mode 2 is not that useful. Its too dim to illuminate anything. It just makes itself visible, playing the part of dummy camera well. Mode 3 which is continious illumination, is probably like a 2.5W or even lesser. Had it been illuminating like a 15W bulb, it would be difficult resisting a 5 star.

Bought 🛒 first one ☝🏻 of these Homehop Motion 👋🏻 Sensor 👂🏻 Camera 📸 Shaped Solar 🌞 Light 🔦 with 77 LEDs in Oct. 2023 🗓️ as a trial. I am using it as an Intrusion 🐕🐈🐈‍⬛🐄🐀 Detection 🕵🏻 and Deterrent 🫸🏻, or Theft 🔨🧔🏿 Prevention 🛑 device, supplementing 👫 it with actual CCTV cameras 📹 already in place. I found 🔍🧐 battery 🔋 backup more than sufficient for my purpose. And the motion 👋🏻 sensing distance 📐 is also just right ✅. The sensor worked good in dense fog 🌬️💨 as well. It's very light weight and sturdy at the same time (unless you are doing a drop-test 😆). Later, after being satisfied 😌 with the 1st purchase, I bought 💳 another one in Jan 2024. Plan is to add ➕ one or two ✌🏻 more with a gap ↔️ of 3-4 months 😂. Both the times, I managed to buy it for less than ₹800. Some hopefully useful tips: 🔅 Since this product variant is of the shape of Camera, it makes most sense to keep it in Mode 1, rather than Mode 2 or 3. If anyone needs constant light, the better alternative is to opt for the product variant with bigger solar panels. 🔅 For use in Mode 1, it doesn't necessarily needs to be fixed 🪛 in bright sunlight ☀️. Since it'll switch-On only in rare case of intrusion detection, even when fixed under shade will work fine - that's what it is in my case. 🔅 Whether buying one, or multiple, it is a good idea to remove/isolate the remote battery, because chances are that you are rarely, if ever, going to change the Modes once selected. Unnecessary battery drain, or worst a leakage, is going to be disappointing. For me, this product rightly ⚖️ deserves 👍🏻 a 5-star rating ⭐🌟⭐🌟⭐ UPDATE Sept. 2025: 🛑 First one that I bought stopped working after 1 year 11 months. So far two more that I bought at later times are Ok. I am not reducing the star rating yet.

After a few months of use, I'm really pleased with this dummy solar camera light. Its design makes it look just like a security camera, and the tiny red light that blinks adds to the illusion. It offers a pleasant layer of security because it appears as though a real camera is placed, especially at night or from a distance. The light is bright enough to cover a respectable area, and the motion sensor functions flawlessly. Additionally, I appreciate that the angle can be changed in various directions, giving you a lot of flexibility in terms of where you want to install it. Also, a remote is provided to control it wirelessly. I haven't had to worry about wiring or charging because it runs on solar power; I just need to install it and forget about it. It appears to have adequate battery life to last through the night, even on overcast days. It has been operating without any problems thus far. Overall a worth it product to give a shot.

Installed it outside my gate, and it works perfectly. Bright lights, motion sensor is responsive, and the remote makes it super easy to control. Looks like a real camera too – definitely adds a layer of security. Worth it for the price!
