Can you lay it on its back ,so it can be used as a sander.

It is not recommended to use the sander in this manner.

These bad reviews make me not wanna buy. Is this thing worth buying? Is the power on par with wired?

It works good for small jobs, it will run about 10 minutes per battery using 40 to 80 grit sanding paper. I like my A/C power sander for large jobs.

Run time on power stack 1.5 amp hour?
