Wonderfully Smooth Writing Inks
I bought several Kuretake Inks last winter when I visited Japan, and I loved them so much that I had to complete the set when I got home. These inks are wonderful: smooth and well lubricated, with excellent colors and general performance (no problems with feathering, bleed through, etc). Very lovely inks.

Lovely Ink. Running it in my Twisbe ECO
Good, rich color. Flows well. Only thing is, I prefer larger bottles of ink, such as Monteverde and Noodler's.For a small bottle, I splurged to see if I like it. I do.

Beautiful Ink and goes across paper so smoothly!
Pros:-Beautiful color In all of its' diluted shades.-I used this with a dip pen and it went down so smoothly. Not issues of skipping, it was like butter.-I painted with this, similar to watercolors. I was really impressed with how well it blended and layered! Honestly laid down better than some watercolor paints I've tried.-It is very pigmented! Just be sure to mess around with it and get used to its' strength before wanting to use it on something permanent.-I like the container and the hexagonal lid. I didn't seem to have the issue of a partially unfilled bottle like some other reviewers mentioned.Cons:-Honestly can't think of any...Overall 4.9/5 I was really impressed with this ink and would definitely recommend it to people wanting to use it for writing, calligraphy, and painting.

Great ink
It's a beautiful ink that works best in glass dip pens. There are some fine metallic particles (not super glittery, just a little) that add a nice sheen but I would not personally put it in a fountain pen I really care about. The color is plummy and very refined. The dry down is a little slow for lefties though.

fountain pen ink, product of Japan, Iron Color (Croganero) = dark and muted green
I ordered this Kuretake Ink-café MEIJI NO IRO fountain pen ink in the Iron Color (Croganero) shade. Croganero is an dark blue-leaning green, that looks almost black if you lay down enough ink on thick paper. It's a muted or dull (rather than vivid) dark color, without a lot of shading and no sheening, but it looks good on standard white or cream paper.I selected it because it was a shade of green that I hadn't encountered before for fountain pen inks. The Croganero color is part of their "MEIJI NO IRO" series that has a Meiji Era-inspired color themes. The ink flows well and doesn't clog up pens. When smudged, the color looks lighter and greener. Drying time is average. The glass bottle works well and doesn't leak. It's a product of Japan.
