Prevent Dry Rot due to Rainwater Puddles
Why did you pick this product vs others?:This product us perfect for dealing with dry rot due to occasional water. I had to replace cedar deck posts and cedar framing that had begun to rot due to some standing rainwater on concrete. But I also needed to prevent any future dry rot, so I replaced the bottom 2 or 3 inches of the replacement boards with SculptWood Max. With their new epoxy "feet" they'll be able to sit in a puddle without absorbing water.

Saved me thousands!!
This stuff is AMAZING!! I bought several types to repair a roof supporting post and the corner of the side band of the front porch. Thankfully, I caught the rot before it went all the way into the post and the joists sorting the beam. I used the structural epoxy for the weight bearing capacity. It would've cost me thousands to hire a contractor and have all that torn apart and replaced. This excellent fix took me a few days and I'm now replacing the trim board and touching up paint where I added the non structural epoxy. I've told several people about this.Tech support is also very helpful and readily available. They need more how to videos online

Long Lasting
This stuff works great. I have tried to fix my wood rot problems with other products, but they always fail after a year or two. This material lasts much longer. The epoxy is a bit more money in the short term, but saves you time and money in the long term.

Awesome stuff!
As a seasoned architect with extensive experience in assessing older homes and dealing with various repair projects, I've encountered my fair share of challenges. Living in an older house myself, the perpetual issue of rotted boards requiring replacement is both time-consuming and costly.Previously, I relied on products like Bondo, a creamy paste that often presented its own set of challenges. However, I recently discovered a game-changer – a modeling clay designed for versatile use in repairing large voids and even sculpting for more substantial projects. This clay stands out due to its unique properties, making it a preferable solution in comparison to traditional options. It's akin to a sculptor's tool, allowing for precise and efficient repairs. If you're curious about its application, numerous YouTube videos provide a visual demonstration of its effectiveness. In my professional opinion, this modeling clay has become an invaluable asset in my home repair toolkit, saving both time and money. I highly recommend it for anyone dealing with similar issues in older homes. While the price may be on the higher side, the effectiveness of this modeling clay makes it a worthwhile investment. Its superior performance and durability justify the cost, ensuring lasting results for your repair projects.

System Three SculpWood Max Putty Epoxy Wood Filler, 1/2 Gallon Kit
I used the putty to repair beams damaged by dry rot. I am very pleased with it. The putty is easy to work with and can be forced even into small cracks. It does not cure fast, so it gives plenty of working time.
