I ordered this item not as a steps tool but as a "bench" seat for my little great granddaughter. She and her toys often slid off other chairs or they were too high for her to sit on without help. This is a perfect height for her to rest on with a non slip piece to provide stability. It will come in handy as a stepstool as she grows.

The assembly was basically 1 step and the height an excellent measure. Visibly appeasing as well. Very pleased with this stool.

I ordered this step stool with the understanding NO ASSEMBLE REQUIRED! Your description reads: Ready to Use: No assembly needed - our one-step stool is ready to go right out of the box. I still had to assemble it. I could have gotten the same stool for $3.00 less that had to be assembled. Only had to install 2 bolts but that is not the point.

I'm a sturdy girl and needed a sturdy stool to bridge the gap of stepping down into my apartment from my roof terrace. Since I didn't have money to rebuild the steps right now, I got this stool and a bench to even out the rise. With some friend's and I having bad knees as we get "younger", we couldn't spring up the 14 inch gap btwn the only step and the roof like mountain goats anymore. I didn't want anyone suing me when they break their necks stepping down into the apartment. It tucks away under the bigger bench so it doesn't take up anymore floor space. It can also be used in other areas of the apartment and the design is clean and has a warmth that wood always lends to furnishings. I recommend this especially for those sturdier folks out there. Less sturdier folk will love it as well.
