Seiko5 Sports Automatic Watch with Orange Dial and Silver Bracelet SRPK35K1

Beautiful
Love Seiko automatic watches. This is the 4th one I have bought. I usually go for dark faced watches, but really wanted a change and the orange face on this watch is great. It is quite easy to see the time at night - very good luminosity. As I have a slender wrist, the 38mm face diameter fits beautifully compared to the larger 40/41mm cases I have had before. Very comfortable to wear.

Excellent watch for anyone with smaller wrists!
If you like dive watch aesthetics, but 42mm plus seems too large, this is perfect. Seiko really have a great build quality. Top service from seller as well.

Great Looking.
You currently get a choice of four faces in the Seiko 5 Sports SKX range.I had a hard choice between this and the Teal Blue. The soloution was to get them both. The stange thing is that this orange one was the cheap by £12 currently. Other retailers list the watch at around £300 on the High Street so it pays to get the watch from Amazon. It simply looks wonderful. The second thing it has going for it is that Seiko brand. It's a double whammy for Seiko and stylish watch fans alike. It looks stunning in the photographs but when you open the box it almost takes your breath away.Be prepared for compliments when you wear this watch when out and about.I have a second generation Orange Monster Seiko which always attracts attention but as a divers watch can look a little bulky. This smaller 35mm is a better choice for casual wear. The 100m means its not a Divers watch but is good for swimming and snorkling. The lume is good. Why Seiko took so long in releasing this little beauty in this colour combination is a mystery to me. (There are three other colour combinations in the same make)I am by no means a watch expert but I will try to explain the features of this watch. Its full title is 'Seiko Sport 5 Midi 38mm Orange SRPK33K1 Steel Unisex Automatic'.It is smaller than the regular Seikos and I suspect this is to attract women to the style. At its heart is an excellent 4R36 automatic movement. When worn it can have a 41 hour power reserve so the correct day and date are maintained. It is a watch designed to be worn every day.The calibre movement has the regulation, hard wearing 24 jewels. It is accurate but if you are unlucky to get one that isn't I'd change it 'Toot Sweet' and get a replacement.I believe the design is a copy of the range and models from 1985 but up dated. The bezel is good and clicks well as you turn it and it aligns perfectly.A niggle is the adjusting knob which lacks the Seiko S. This is a shame for such an otherwise classy looking watch. Whilst we're on that subject I found it really hard to adjust to the correct time and the day date was even harder. It's too small and stiff for me and I've manage to break a couple of nails in the process. The strap is a bit of a let down. It does look good but the 'feel' of the steel is not great. It has hollow links but is easily changed. Many do but many switch back simply because the strap does its job well. A word of warning if you have really big wrists you may find that the strap will not fit and you will have to get a bigger one. (Perhaps the unisex design reduced the size). I had to take 3 links out of mine to get a good fit.It is always better to get a jeweller to do this for you unless you have the tools yourself. There are only two adjustment holes on the clasp. Which means you may have a problem getting a good fit.Niggles for me are the lack of attention to quality with the strap and adjustment knob.Otherwise a simply stunning looking beautiful watch that you will be proud to own.Thank you for reading.

Great looking, poor movement
This watch really ticks all the boxes in terms of look. A svelte "retro" 38mm case with an orange that really stands out. Lume is superb and legible throughout the night. The bracelet is comfortable - but cheap - and only has one level of micro-adjustment on the clasp. The movement is a shocker. I wear the watch once every ten days or so, for a couple of days and, when it comes round to putting it on, it's generally gained about fifteen minutes - that's knocking on for two minutes a day. To be honest, there's no excuse for that with the range of movements available. I have a Spinnaker Croft - which uses the Seiko (yes, Seiko) NH35 TMI movement, that is accurate to about +/- 20 seconds a day, this 4R36 _should_ be good for +45.TLDR; Great looking, easy to wear, draws attention, doesn't keep good time.
