As well as all of the stunning artwork that immediately captures the reader, this compendium is full of visual delights...a gorgeous lilac fabric hardcover, silver-tipped, highly detailed pages throughout, and even the prettiest fonts are used here.My tech-crazed chums snigger at me and my obsession with the faeries in the woods behind my home (I bought my home specifically because it backs to a private forest [with the enchanting name of "Love Park Forest"]), and yet I have spied ALL of them perusing this lovely lilac book with fascination when they think no one else is looking! No sniggering.I have been increasingly enchanted with the gorgeous Faerie Magazine since 2013 when it took a turn that, in my opinion, has led to the creation of this delightful compendium. (It has also been a labor of love to find this magazine in local (Missouri) bookstores, I might add....this book may correct that situation for good) This tome gathers and expands upon all of the wonders of the magazine, providing the reader with page after page of the kind of enchantment that is sorely missing in today's glaringly graphic world.Secure yourself this portal to another world as soon as possible!

So, I have two reviews & the five stars are for the book, it is lovely. The photos are clean, with a crisp focus and lots of detail. The pages are quite thick, many times, I thought it was two pages and tried separating them. The silver leaf on the page edges is smooth. Also, the book was in original and professional plastic think shrink wrap. My daughter and I love it so far. I'm not sure about the quality of the writing, as we have not finished reading it yet.The shipping was late, but I believe that was an Amazon issue possibly do to Coronavirus, I had a message saying out for delivery, but the package was out of state.

No childish fluff here! This anthology of faerie culture is an impressive and informative journey into the history and lure of fairies from their mythological roots to the modern art that people make to express their love for the mystical creatures. I was impressed by the level of research the author did to list nearly every modern interpretation of fairies and where they came from. The book also contains recipes and guides to making your own faery creations such as flower crowns, fairy houses, or fairy treats.

For any girl or woman that has a love of fairy’s, this book won’t disappoint. My 9 year old daughter absolutely loves this book. And I have to say, I’ve fallen in love with it also. You won’t be disappointed : )

I have almost all the issues of Faerie Magazine, and I thought this was a great idea to have all my favorite articles in one book. However the size is small and the quality of the images far inferior to the magazine which is a larger size. I wonder why they didn't make this volume the same size as the magazine? If I had known I wouldn't have purchased since I have the magazines. That is my only complaint. I guess it is nice to have if you can't get hold of all the magazines. I get a lot of inspiration from Faerie Magazine and this is better than nothing. They shouldn't have skimped on the quality of the images though - minus one star for that.

This book is a masterpiece! The art/design and prose are wonderful and beautiful. Topics span the entirety of all things in the realm of Faire. Thank you for making this book available. It sits in a place of honor on my book shelf and when I need creative inspiration or a moment of beauty it is there to help.

I purchased this for my wife and she loves it. She couldn't wait to show it to our granddaughters. This book has pride of place in our bookshelf.

The Faerie Handbook is a perfect collection of all things Fae. It has lore, art, and photo's that all centers around Faeries and their magical world. The pages are lined in silver which is a lovely touch. It's quite bountiful with text on types of plants and herbs all the way to recipes and how to make things. A perfect book for any one that loves a little magic in their lives.

I bought this for my 6 year old god daughter. She loves faeries and magic and I thought it would be a book she could treasure and grow into, returning to it throughout the next years and gaining more from it as she gets older. I was lucky to be with her when she opened it and she was mesmerised. The whole time I was there she was looking through it and gaining inspiration from it. Her mum called me the next day to say it had barely been put down. This was given 2 days after Christmas when she had a lot of other things on offer to entertain her! I don't think it's a gift she will forget and it's certainly one she will treasure for a long time yet. Of course I opened the book before I wrapped it up and it is beautiful. I am having a daughter of my own soon and no doubt she will get a copy in the future, fingers crossed she will love faeries too!

I got this book for Christmas for my partner and she is absolutely over the moon with it, every page is adorned with beautiful paintings & photos of fairies!!...there is beautiful poetry, recipes etc!!...it's a feast for the eyes and takes you on a beautiful magical journey to another place where all your dreams come true!!..(those are her words!!)...it's unbelievable to think the price was so little for such a fabulous book!!..👍🏻☺️

Not sure what I was expecting but it was not this book. The tutorials were slightly ridiculous and quite childish. It was quite heavy reading and not that interesting. Not what I was expecting at all.

A really beautiful book with numerous magical photos. If you love all things about Faeries then you’ll love this!
