Merrell Men's Moab 2 Vent Hiking Shoe

My husband loves these. " Best ever " Great traction, non slip, sturdy, comfortable for all day at work or days off. Fits as expected and true to size. Awesome shoe ! Buy them ! You won't be disappointed.

TLDR; high arch support, great grip, no heel slip.I recently started to undesk myself and walking around the crop fields pushing about 3 miles per day for a hike. Wearing a 20lb vest and occasionally carrying an additional 40lb sandbag, I was looking for grippy shoe that was not a boot. The hills where I walk are quite steep in places and needed something that was not a road running shoe. I remember a co-worker - real outdoorsy type - consistently wore Merrell's and thought I would give these a shot. There is a nice amount of padding around the tongue and heal. The odd part, at least for me, was the arch support that felt quite high and hard. I don't know if this is normal but this did not cause discomfort after any of the hikes that I have taken. They fit true to size and the medium width had a nice amount of wiggle room for my toes which was nice to encounter as some shoes are restrictive in the toe box. I will be getting a waterproof pair for the wet mornings and boots for the winter. Merrell has won me over.

Great, comfortable fit and a good look, but the shoes squeak. The insoles make a noticeable sound when compressed by the act of normal walking. It doesn't seem to impact the performance of the product, but you won't sneak up on anyone in these hiking shoes.

I started wearing Merrell's because of their support and comfort. I wear them every day and they last about six months - at which point I buy a new pair and give the old pair to Goodwill. You can see the before and after comparing shoes I wore every day - with the brand new shoes. Since I like support and walk a little weird I break them down side to side. I love it when I get a new pair. They fit so well and hug my feet. Thanks!

I have had these shoes now for 9 months and walk 3-5 miles daily for work and the soles have barely worn out at all!!! (See picture). Other brand shoes I’ve purchased are usually balding by now! The only thing negative I can say is after 9 months of hard wear and tear, the suede leather trim has become a faded blue-ish grey and was no longer black. I thought about buying a new pair but the shoes themselves are still in great shape so instead i bought some black suede color rejuvenator and touched up the suede (as seen in the picture) they look almost brand new again, I’m sure I can get several more months use out of them! I’ll definitely purchase another pair when the time comes! Highly recommend them!!!

I bought these to replace a pair of Oboz hiking shoes and they didn't come close. My back and feet hurt almost instantly. I went for a short walk to see if it was a "new shoe" thing but no they never felt good. I ended up rocking my Oboz on a trip to Hawaii and my feet and back has never been happier.
