It was easy to mount to the dash and direct wired the cigarette lighter style plug in directly to my 12 volt system so I can still have the thumbwheel fan speed control. It is very loud which doesn't matter in a race car, and blows a lot more air than other fans I've used. I like that the fan doesn't go out of adjustment from the shock of hard launches, and with the adjustable louvers I can aim it right at my face to keep my glasses from fogging up on colder humid nights. Review: One happy mail lady. This fan works great! It worked amazing on the 90+ days in my van. Lot of air follow. A little loud but no more the hair dryer if you have it turned up on high. Never had to turn it up passed maybe half way.

Little bit loud when turned up, main problem is when it's turned barely on you can hear it whining so I just turn it up rather hear it revved up vs whining. Clamp is strong and very maneuverable in many angles to make it work. Bought another fan from retail store same deal and it's only one speed but it oscillate so each has its perks I use both in my rig. If you're a truck driver I recommend buying this one and one that oscillates keeps your truck cool and breathable I place this one in the front facing the sleeper and the oscillating one is in the sleeper works great never idle just turn these on.

This turbo fan does sound like a jet engine taking off, but it moves a lot of air, which is exactly the point. If the power goes out in the RV, and there's no a/c I want it to move a lot of air. This is not for daily use, because it's just too noisy. But it also doesn't rattle and screech like a similar 12 volt turbo fan I purchased last year! Seems slightly better made than the other brand, but time will tell. Edit: Time did tell. One month after receiving this item, it has stopped working. I got to use it one time only.

Have it in our cabin bathroom which has no ventilation other than a small window (had to use an adapter to convert from dc to ac). The towels were always getting sour. This little puppy will blow your socks off (providing you're wearing them) and if you can get past the sound, which is similar to a vacuum cleaner, it is a great little fan. The variable speed makes it so the noise is tolerable if you're in there for any length of time. When you leave, crank it up.
