Question 1

Is the fluid safe for old shellac records from the 1940s?

Accepted Answer

G2 Fluid is formulated for use on PVC based vinyl records--7 inch, 10 inch and 12 inch. Although we have cleaned some shellac and plastic 78s without harm, we do not recommend G2 Fluid for that use. At this time we do not offer a cleaning fluid specifically for shellac 78s. Thanks for the question! Steve Chase, GrooveWasher, LLC

Question 2

Where can you get that towl at? Love to have one.

Accepted Answer

We will list our new Big B Record Cleaning Mat on Amazon soon. Thanks! The GrooveWasher Record Nerds.

Question 3

How many vinyls can i clean before i need to clean the pad?

Accepted Answer

The short answer is when the pad is dirty. The number of records depends on how dirty they are. We are sticklers so we clean the pad every 10 to 20 LP records, using the method in the instruction booklet. "Apply a few drops of laundry detergent on the pad fabric and squeeze the pad in distilled water. (Soft tap works,as well.) Rinse thoroughly then squeeze dry in a clean towel. Air dry overnight." Question 4

Just like every other vinyl cleaning product you have sone reviewers saying its great and some saying its terrible. Its either one or the other ?

Accepted Answer

Thanks for your question. I wonder about the negative reviews as well. (Consider the source. Some haven't even used our products.) I suggest you try GrooveWasher products yourself. Use the cleaning methods we describe on our website and let me know your experience. If you are not 100% happy, return to us for a full refund. You can also email or call me and my team members with questions and we will respond quickly. (Try that with other companies.) GrooveWasher is a simple tool that performs a simple task very well.
